Well everyone fears change.....I have to agree with Bob in his other posts, the swapping is easier than N2K3. You just have to remember E, RACE for the Passenger and S (Request Pit if pitting shorter than fuel window) and W, Escape.
When you are waiting to jump in the car, your cursor can't be in the chat box when you press E.
Also, as Bob noted, make sure all you stop settings have the right amount of fuel. I was wondering why mine keep saying 35/7 instead of 112/25.
I would also double check the garage before you jump in the car. I have seen twice that I disagreeign setup said factory. So I go in and re-assign Bullrun_Speedway to make sure.
Third...Be Prepared....Bob and I had one glitch on a swap. I would recommend if it doesn't happen correctly, release the car back to the first driver and try it again. This may mean staying in the car a second or two longer for the original driver but may keep you from getting kicked out of the race for a mismatch which is what happened to us. We can test this.
I see they did an EXCELLENT job of recreating all the BUMPS...lol. Watch your ride height especially on cold tires when you are exiting the first bank. You will get tossed into the brick wall.
If anyone noticed anything else or has something to share please post.

Some stuff before I forget...
Just ran a stint on Tim's server. Think I had 25 gallons of fuel, lasted till the end of the 30th lap (just) which was just under an hour. My fronts were bad, front left red for 2 laps, and I was not handling well at all near the end as I bounced off the walls a few times. Unless I can get my setup better it seems that about 45 minutes between stops is what I can do without risking the car. Brake bias: make sure you have keys assigned for this because the rear gets lighter as fuel burns off and you will loose the rear quite easily, also when you pit the bias does NOT return to what your setup is so you will have to reset it, I am not sure if it reverts back if you join as a passenger. I was thinking that it would be good if Ced got a realistic chance to run some in this race so what do you think about each of us doing only 1 stint before handing off? Also like I said before my 'puter seems fine for night driving so I would be willing to take those stints if wanted. I plan on sticking around for the whole race anyway.

THanks Bob,
I still need to check mine for the night thing. So by going with what you said, we're talking every 45 minutes...correct? How much of a brake bias change did you need to make before the end of your run.
I forgot what the estimate was on the time on this. I know it was different with the trans am. We can base our strategy on that.

I also noted today that the Bull Run track has been officially released. You should get a link by email from the yahoo group. Otherwise, it's located at the uspits rFactor files download page.

Hey guys,
Can we all arrange to get together on the PORRS Bullrun server for some private testing a couple of nights this week? I'd like to try out Teamspeak on my server and test your setups cause I'm only getting about 16 laps on a set of tires.

I think over the course of an hour I had to add 5-6 clicks of front bias. Yes 45 minutes. About 170 laps for 1,000K. I am free Wednesday evening and maybe Thursday for later practices (any time after 6 eastern) and from 6 to 8:30 eastern Tuesday and Friday.

I'm going to try Ced's server tonight in the Autobarn #55 Holden (yes Holden), I have painted up PORRS_A_H and PORRS_B_H Holdens and they look just as good as the Fords so let's try them. I still am in need of someone to do the windows for the PORRS cars.

Harrison,
The PORRS server wasn't up tonight so Bob and I were on the main Bullrun server - Race2Play. We were having problems with our setups not getting loaded when we did the driver swap? I've checked and I have my setup named Bullrun_Speedway.svm in the Vehicle folder as well as my Bullrun setups folder. Anyone got any ideas as to why this might be happening? Bob and I are going to try to be on the server again tomorrow night at around 9 pm Eastern.
Bob, lets try the Ford out this time, how about the Ford Performance Racing paint job? Can we also try Teamspeak. I've got it loaded on my server - 24.85.102.164

I would like to join y'all. I haven't done any swaps or tried teamspeak yet with rfactor.
Thanks for trying to paint the Holden. Like I said I will drive either but the H seems more drivable. Rob's setup helped with the Ford a lot. I dropped several seconds off previous times.
My AI is running mid 1:37's and I can't keep up. See you tonight.

Will try to be there around 9 eastern in the Ford Performance Racing Ford, let's all join as PORRS_B so we can get that driver name profile sorted out, I think we should all get a PORRS_A and PORRS_B profile done in case we have to switch out/help the opposite team in the race.

Bob and I are having a problem when we're doing our driver swap. Both of us have created a setup called Bullrun_Speedway.svm and we have copied that setup to the root of the V8Factor folder but when we are doing our drivers swap both of us are getting the default setup that has us toping out in 6th gear halfway down the back straight and with a 19 degree wing (were our's are set at 15).
We're wondering another thing to..... when I'm driving and Bob is the passanger and it's time to do the drivers swap if there are 42 cars on the track it's going to take me the length of a lap just to find his name scrolling though all the drivers name in the HUD list.
Just a couple of observations we've been finding. Bob and I have got our Teamspeak communications working really good between us, the rest of you had better get online and spend some time setting this up, it takes a while to configure it so you can hear the other person over the sound of the engine.

Hey Dave,
Can we find some time over the weekend to practice driver swaps etc? Weekdays are just not good for me to practice this stuff. Let's get PORRS A together for a couple hours Saturday or Sunday to work out this stuff.
On the setup question... when I read the instructions, I saw that you have to load the Bullrun_Speedway setup you've created, then hit the "Assign" button. For me, this placed that file as my default Bullrun setup. Did you do that?
On the driver swap question... I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do. My understanding of it was that the next driver switches from spectator to passenger the lap before the driver swap... then the current driver hits the hot-swap key, which puts the passenger in as the driver... what are you trying to scroll through?
I may be behind on both of these issues, and please tell me to pound sand if I am... ;D. But, let's dedicate some time over the weekend to really hash this out.
