Hi Everyone
This will be my one and only address of the season as it is never and issue with you fine drivers of PORRS. It's just a reminder.
I want to thank you all for fine Opener last Sunday. Give yourselves a pat on the back
As we have a lot of new drivers there are going to be some close calls and some incidents in the first few races as we get know each others driving styles. At all possible please try to avoid those situations by anticipating what the driver may do.
Please be careful when re-entering the track. No one likes to lose a lot of spots but coming back on in traffic and having contact with another car is not practiced here. You have your display running at the bottom, you know where the cars are and when it is safe. Never head straight (perpendicular) back onto the track. Merge in from the side. This will minimize your chances of contact and also give the approaching drivers a chance to give you room. Plus it also makes them visible to you in your mirror.
Punting and running over people - Not tolerated under any circumstance but as I said we are getting to know each other and some accidents will happen. This season you need to be especially careful because of the two classes.
Pit Entry / Exit
You MUST ALWAYS signal exiting the pits. You don't have to signal when entering if no one is around you but if someone is, please make them aware of your intentions. If you are exiting a corner and hugging the inside line, which is not part of the racing line, it's a good indication you are pitting. Other locations are not as noticeable so use your head on making the call.
Starts - All starts are standing starts. No formation laps
Passing - It is the approaching drivers responsibility to make a pass safely. If the driver being passed wants to move over to allow the faster driver to pass, they must do it in a safe distance, not when the car is fast approaching. Don't unnecessarily hold someone up (especially if your are lap(s) down, this will get you brownie points). If you are going to let someone pass, pick a safe place to allow them by, if not, hold your line and let them pass you.
Lastly Welcome to all the new members and to the returning PORRS members, this is going to be greata season...right Guido...ai right Luigi
It's a real Micheal Schumacher Ferrari, in my store. Punch me Guido, Punch me in the face.....
Faint
I love that line
