Bob Roberson posed the challenge. A 3 Hour single driver enduro at the 77 Lemans track that was recently released. I love the enduro's and so does Bob and this would be a real bladder pusher if you ran the whole thing with no relief. What are pits stops for anyway. ;D
This would be a separate single race event and not part of the Ironman Series. Most likely to be held in the beginning of June or early August.
Chime in.

I'd most likely go for it. I ran that 77 LeMans with the new Fabcar at the recent RACE@RFC. It was during the evening (in game) and dark so maybe that was the reason for this: a huge fps hit coming into and thru the last couple of chicanes. Might be something to check out but like I said, probly was the night thing.

Been thinking about this, what would we drive?
I'm in as long as nothing comes up between now and then.

No. Two hours is my absolute limit.

Sounds like a great idea, depends on which mod will be used for me though.

Sounds like a great idea. You can count the Weasel Wench in on this as well. Susan

Should this race be held, could I be given a special dispensation to allow me and Brenda to switch off driving chores? I'd hate to miss this race, but I simply cannot drive that long at one sitting without a break.

I've gone 5 hours in an Aston, so three will be no problem. Please keep me informed. Rob P.S. It did hurt... a lot... BTW!

Paul,
That is an interesting point. It could be open to single and team drivers. I don't see a problem with that. I have to dig out my server config for when I had the PORRS server available for Bullrun praccy.
Shouldn't be an issue.

Brenda and I would be on the same computer, so unless someone else wants to do Bullrun-type switches, you wouldn't need to change the race rules just for us.

After running some laps at this track I got real bored, just miles and miles of straight track, hardly any turning. Maybe we should consider Sebring or something similiar instead using the new BMW 320 E21 mod.
Just my 2 cents

Not the BMW mod. I'm right on the verge of giving up TPTCC because I simply cannot drive that car at all. Let's stick to prototypes.
Edit to add that I'd suggest the CGST Holiday Preview with the old Porsches. Those cars are a lot of fun to drive and you can actually change things in the setup...

I love the 914. You can fling it around with complete abandon.

The CGST mod only has about 3 ingame painted cars for each model. I suggest we use a mod that already has enough painted cars in the game for all that race, that way we don't have to spend any time trouble shooting who has or has not got all the cars needed so we don't get the dreaded miss match error constantly. We just select a car from the in game selection and race. Something like the Fabcar Restyle Challenge which has more than enough painted cars in each model to chooses from for all who race.
