Hi All,
The new RFM does set to allow Blue Flags but not penalize you.
The catch with what I read is, if you have something set in your player file that nullifies this.
I will research the setting to see what it is and post. But on a side note. If you do get a blue flag, it is usually because a faster lead lap car has caught you and you should allow the car to pass. That's how we do it here.
Edit: These are the lines you need to look for in your .plr file. QUICK Blue Flags= MULTI BlueFlags= Both should be set to "7", example QUICK BlueFlags="7" Yes keep the double quotes. This aligns your plr file with the series rfm which is set to 1

Ced, I got a drive-through blue flag penalty last night, although I was able to clear it no problem.
After my L8 accident and subsequent repairs, I was out lapping at the leader's pace albeit a couple laps down. I passed someone (forget who) who was on the lead lap and was able to maintain gap for several laps. However, as the gap would vary a little bit, I would occasionally get the blue flag warning. The one time it stayed on a little longer, and the game penalized me, even though I had passed earlier the car that the game was blue flagging me to let around.
If you can turn the blue flags completely off, I think it would be for the best.

I had a similar incident. I was several laps down, but was able to run close to the lead lap cars' times. On one occasion I got past one of them but immediately got a blue flag even though the car was close behind me but not actually gaining. The question is going to be whether more will be lost to the playability of the game from turning the blue flags off, possibly exposing fast drivers to obstruction from slow drivers or whether it's worse to have fast cars who have fallen behind forced to lose even more ground from the flags.
It's really a pretty close call...

I just noticed this update and I checked mine over. Everything was set to 7 in my player file already, and my rfm file is also set at 1 as expected. Was that set at one for the Mosport race or was it changed after?

I believe the change in the rfm was in place for Mosport but the server plr file may not have been changed.

Well, I did not have a Stop and Go line in the LCD last race so really did not have any idea what I needed to do to clear. Might not have one this time either and wonder what dictates the presence of that message line in the LCD.
I have read the Blue Flag clearing note you offered Ced and I am just dull headed to understand the proceedure:
"During a safe place on the entrance lap I brought up my Pit LCD and scrolled down to the pit service area".
I do not really understand what is a Pit LCD. I have one LCD and that is probably the same one just includes everything, Pit, tires, etc. Well, I have seen the stop and go message but not during the race for some reason. If I did see it I still wouldn't know what to do with it.
You note: "Crossed pit entrance and scrolled my service to stop and go, hit the up arrow to get off that line and hit enter to exit that screen."
This area I have to reach to understand as just reading it doesn't sink in.
My LCD is presented by the click of one of my wheel buttons and it is also scrolled by the same button. I do not understand the "hit enter to exit that screen"
Well, if the Black Flag happens again and I do not have a Stop and Go message I will just disco and try again the next event, no big deal.
Just here to have fun and that was not having fun. This is all hard enough for the likes of my abilities.
This just seems to be a nuisance flag and in the total picture, it would not make a tinkers dam in the final results, IMO.

Larry,
That might be your problem because you are scolling down with a button. When you get to the line that has your service on it. you need to use the arrow key to go through the selections on that line. Then you will see the Stop and Go.
Hope that makes sense for ya. Let me know.
