From what Ced mentioned in an email I had received, he was looking at the Epsilon endurance LMP1 mod for GT1, and the Porsche Fabcar as a GT2 class.
I had tried the Epsilon mod at Laguna last night for a few laps, my testing showed that the cars are very sensitive about how hard you push the brakes (since there is no brake pressure control), the tail is also very slap happy, little too much throttle and it will spin on you (way more sensitive than the LMP Endurance mod we ran last season) and I didn't have the boost any higher than 2, maybe these cars need a lot more down force than what I am used to giving a car.
I have yet to try the fabcars out, that will happen tonight most probably.

I have yet to try the fabcars out, that will happen tonight most probably. I tried out the Epsilon mod a few nights ago at Barcelona and mentioned the same things to Ced as was reported here. The next night I tried the mod again with the traction control set to low and then medium and found the car much more stable to drive, even quite easy to catch if the rear end tried to come around. From what I read in the readme file of the mod it was designed to be used with traction control. You can also adjust the amount of boost to use in the car but the more boost used the more chance of your motor going CA-BOOM. I had the lock up problem with the brakes as well but found that if you adjusted the bias you could get rid of most of it. DaveS ;D

Just tried out the Fabcar mod last night, the cars seem quicker (running a default setup) than the Epsilon model, could be that they have incredible stopping power on the brakes or that they seem very close in acceleration, I actually like these cars more than the Epsilon's, if we had both these types of car running I think it would be close racing regardless of what car you chose.

Hi Guys,
Sorry I havent chimed in, was out of town for the Holiday and wanted to get some R & R in before the next season. I was also trying to wait to see if a certain mod was going to be released and looks like we will have to wait until next season to try it.
That said, The Epsilon (if you don't run TC) needs a soft setup to be fun. Since the mod was designed for TC, TC will be allowed to be used. I'll have another formal thread up on season tonight or tomorrow.
I'd like to shoot for the 21st as a start date and a test race on the 14th.

Let's not rush into this -- We could all probably use several practice races to get ready for the new mod, whatever it is.
FWIW, I was never particularly impressed with the Epsilon.

I need to spend more time in both cars to see how they handle with a few tweaks, the fabcar seems to be an easier car to figure out and safe to drive with no fear of the corners as your stopping distance is incredibly short, the Epsilon even with traction control is a handful, very picky about braking, also very tail happy even with traction control on medium.
This is just an early impression of the two times I have been in both cars for about 40 minutes, but I still need more time in both of them to see what I can do, especially with the Epsilon.
