PORRS 2008 Second Half (Updated 02.16.09)

Get ready for the second half of the 2008 - 09 season.

We will be sticking with the Dumans LMP mod with one, maybe two additional cars. The Fabcar will be dropped so there will be a new RFM file to download along with the additional car(s) to be announced this week.

So if you are running your same paints...you are set.

Please post on this thread two tracks of your choice for the season. It will be a 10 race season with a possible twist to the season finale if I can get this to work properly.

Remember the Season Overall Trophy will be up for grabs as well so if you participated in the first half, you want to be in the second. The individual LMP1 and LMP2 trophies for the 1st half will be mailed out a few weeks after the end of the season.

Cars Added: The Mazda and the Puegeot.
Note: The Puegeot is based on the SCC Bentley and if you were in the IM4 race you know it was a pain in the arse to paint. With that said, if you plan to race it, I will need your paints way early so I can finish the MAS files. Puegeot paint deadline is January 24th. All others are January 31st.

There will be a zip of the entire folder for new racers or if you just want to blow out your old stuff.

Which Mazda -- the SCC one? As of this moment, I'm planning to retire the Pesca and use a matched set of Lolas for the second half, but I'll need to check out the Mazda first before I make things official. Still trying to talk Brenda into racing again. I'm hoping that after attending the Rolex 24, she'll be inspired to start again.

The Mazda from the latest update of the SCC mod. It will only be a P2 car. No physics update to make it a P1 like the last time.

Are we going to be running the next season with 70% damage and with mechanical failure set higher Ced?

I should also ask how to get the Bentley/Puegeot into the mod we're running now?

where is the Peugeot anyway like any downloads would help(unless I'm blind lol). If it really ends up being that hard to paint I'll use the Pescarolo since I have something done...but Peugeot . But yea, I will run the number...9.

I'll have stuff up late tonight. The rfm for next season will allow you to run the car(s). Don't laugh at my paint because I'm not done with it...lol.

Justin, it's not that it's impossible, it just doesn't have a standard template. I also need time to remap every car to a different texture and package in a mas file so they load. That's why I need the extra week for any of those.

As with anything here, a track which could be hazardous is up for discussion. Goodwood is far enough out that it can be changed.

OOOOOh, ya I can see major problems in that chicane (inner concrete wall) at Goodwood, if it didn't have that section it would be a great track.

Yeah, it's a very good track except for that one chicane which consists of two brick walls right in the middle of the main straight. Totally unforgiving and if someone has a wreck there, it totally blocks the track. It's realistic, but IMHO still is a very bad thing.
