Tom Nasella made a proposal of a dedicated day for group practice. He also said that anyone that needed setup help or driving assistance he wouldn't mind doing that as well (Hope I remembered that correctly Tom ;D )
Would Wednesday work? Post a date and time if you are interested.

Any day is good for me. I'm always looking for people to practice with.

Wednesday is just about perfect for me. Additionally, if people put up a message I can join in at a lot of other times too. Key to the whole thing is just letting each other know.

What track would you like. I'll keep checking the forum tonight and tomorrow for a selection. Make it the track you would like to do our 50 min test race this Sunday. Now having said that, I knew there was a reason this Sunday wasn't in my race schedule because it is a Holiday Weekend. So whoever can make it, please do.

The Sunday test track would be fine. Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me because it's just more opportunity to get used to the cars as far as I'm concerned. See y'all then.

Ohhhhhhh, let me correct Ced on one point.....setups. I SUCK! I'm always using other's that I've tweaked to suit my comfort zone.....and it's not like I think I can teach anyone to drive but I do think that practicing with other humans is way more beneficial than practicing with the AI. For that reason I'd be glad to join anyone when I can (which is more often than not) as long as I have some advance notice. For what it's worth, I'm in the Eastern Time Zone.....but I'm retired :-) so mornings, afternoons or evenings can work for me. I bowl on Tuesday evenings- getting home between 9:30-10 PM and work from noon 'til 5 on Monday and Thursday. Other than those times I'm pretty much available.

Just a question. Your Eastern time zone is always the same as your New York time zone? If so i can do it tomorrow after your 10PM.

Well how about Sebring? Everyone knows that track and we aren't racing it during the season.

I'll try and make it, I have to see if the latest nVidia driver is the culprit for the scanner to suddenly not work properly according to windows, quick driver removal and back to the previous set I think. This Sunday will probably be a no go for myself as I'm off to a concert, I ain't saying which one for fear of my nerdness being revealed

Sebring also has the advantage of being very bumpy and would give people practice keeping the back of the car under control, which will pay dividends at every track.

the latest nVidia driver is the culpritOh man... I downloaded that thing yesterday and tried to install it. It hung halfway through the installation and after ten minutes of nothing, I hit the reset button. That had exactly the result you'd expect... Tried to roll back to the previous driver. Nothing. Reinstalled and this time it loaded properly but the monitor on my desk didn't get a signal -- only the one that I use for the racing cockpit. But at least that gave me a chance.. Fiddled around with the utility program that comes with nVidia drivers and finally got this monitor to get a signal again, then had to mess around for another 20 minutes to clone the monitors. What a PITA. To be fair, normally installing new drivers from nVidia is a piece of cake but this newest one is the exception... (Yeah, I know that didn't contribute to the discussion, but if I have to go through all that crap, I should at least get to whine about it...)
