Black screen, CTD, no cursor. Messed around and got a cursor back but although I could hear the game running, couldn't get it to open again. Tried for about 10 minutes and finally gave up and rebooted. When I did, I got a popup saying video driver had crashed and recovered. This sh*t is getting very old.

Paul, I had something strange happen as well. I was tooling along with only a few laps to go and my screen froze and it lasted for about five or ten seconds. When I came back I was headed straight for the wall and "Blooey". Fortunately I only had to make two more laps so I limped in. I think Alex had vid problems as well. Because we came together twice.... big time. I know that Alex must not have seen me because he'd never smack the boss. Or would he ?

So Tom couldn't get in, Sandy had computer problems, I CTDed, you had vid problems and Alex may have as well. That's about half the field.
BTW, I googled the problem and there are no real solutions to the problem. It doesn't seem to matter what card you use, what brand of card you use, what OS you use or anything... Usually, I reboot right before I shut the stuff off getting ready for the race but tonight I didn't. Don't know that had anything to do with it. And it usually goes back to the game but tonight it not only CTDed but the cursor vanished as well and didn't work properly even when I did get it back -- I could only click it once and then it didn't work any more. Really, really odd.

Red Weasel Racing Reports
All I can say is CRAP! What else could go wrong? Qed OK, the Weasels running the same setup Miss Susan a little slow but doing fair for limited track time, all in all I expected a good run but it was not to be.
At the start, did anyone else notice the lack of lights? I’m sure they are there, matter of fact I saw them in several places but I sure didn’t see them on the start, but I was ready anyway we got a good start (I didn’t stall it on the line) and shot up the hill where I became another member of the car collection in T1, it collected and damaged about five cars in all about half the field had issues over that on little mishap and thanks for the Race Stewards that threw the Flag and decided to do a restart.
And with the restart all was better, it was still a tight squeeze as we all pretty much battled over the same spot of track as we snaked our way past turns 1 and 2 and headed for the next hill, I had to give way I didn’t have the line and fell in behind Bob and we were off. On the very top of the hill Bob bobbled a bit and me being a little to close got sucked up into his rear grill I was doing my best to stay out of his cockpit but to late, I got to close and even with his valiant attempt to save it I ended up punting Bob off track. (It was a racing thing…really, really it was not payback just unfortunate contact) I GRed and waited he rejoined and took off and in my favorite position at the halfway point of lap 1, I was last. But with a little luck we would catch up to a few cars and by the time I was crossing the start finish line I had tucked up behind Miss Susan and the Weasels were flying, …BUT…Miss Susan breaks a tad harder and soon than I do going into T1 and I wasn’t prepared for that, I ended up standing on my binders and it wasn’t enough and it was still a bit to late, I launched the Weasel Wench out of T1 like a Super model projectile vomiting her lunch when she found out it wasn’t low carb Pizza. She hit the wall and lost her front end, I was on the side of the road again doing a GR and waiting she pulled out in front of me and we took off, her limping and me babying my broken splitter, I made the pass shortly later and both Weasels were heading for the Pits, Adjust the fuel make a few changes and look for the pit crew, I didn’t realize just how loose my front was until I slid wide entering the Pits and WHAMO! Right into the Impact reduction barrier just to the left of the of road, and with that I deposited the remaining portion of my splitter along with my entire front end there at the wall to limp into pits for now a major repair.
What’s a Weasel to do? Well as it would turn out My race was pretty much playing catch up for the rest of the run until three laps to go and GP came out of the Pits, we race nose to tail for a few laps I don’t know how much damage he had but I was still tore up pretty good but we swapped track position a few times and had a fun end to what was a more then eventful race.
We all noticed Paul had an issue, I wonder if it is related to the wacky every once and a while it just goes to like negative Gs.
By the way, the Weasel setup was running max Down Force.
More later

From: Team MOMO To: Weasel Racing
Racing thing................ NP I wish you hadn't had problems. My car was in a groove. I turned some really competitive laps and I think we could have had a good fight. Duh........ I still haven't learned that the car will be squirelly for the first few turns or so. That's how I got out of shape. I'm really starting to have fun. Hopefully things will remain the same.

until three laps to go and GP came out of the Pits, we race nose to tail for a few laps I don’t know how much damage he had.. no damage, just in cruise mode--fun to have a back and forth though. bob kept me honest until that last net related deal. was shocked how close he got after i pitted late for fuel only; 47secs down to 5secs when i exited pit lane. didn't think i had any damage, strange.. i was on the binders late when entering pitroad too--bob's not so old-n-slo congrats to terry and mr. sled on the 1-2 cheers, greg

I had damage but I chose not to repair it. I figured it would cost me more time than I was losing running with damage. It only cost me about two seconds a lap. Hmmm not a mathematician so I don't know for sure :-)
