Red Weasel Racing Reports
Very disappointing race for the Weasels, getting into the grove and WHAMO! Disconnected, here on the east coast there were lots of Thunderstorms up and down the coast, so I suspect we where victems of bad weather somewhere else.
Another disappointing finish.
I was really looking forward to running Bob down, I had a little spin early and went from 6th to 9th but at the disco I think I was back up to 7th and closing the gap.
Miss Susan was doing pretty well, had a minor slip but was doing some great racin, she made me work hard for the pass that Pat got to watch.
When you get a chance ask Miss Susan how the Endurance Race went...(That is a dig, she spun off a curb and broke the car when it bounced off the wall, we ended up having to retire way early from the eight hour event.)
Thanks for the racing.
James Head Weasel

Was able to barely stay ahead of Terry for the first half of the race but the tires went away so changed to mediums at the pit stop. Bad mistake because they were about half a second a lap slower than the softs and they went away as well. Didn't make any mistakes but with the wrong tires, I had no chance.

Paul, you did pretty darn good on whatever you were running. I watched the replay and enjoyed every lap of your battle with Terry. Good clean racing. Congrats to Greg. I had a good setup and the car was handling good but he was a little faster. At first I really pushed and stayed with him but it was apparant that he'd have to make a mistake for me to get by. So, with no one else challenging me I backed off a little bit and raced for second place. And I was right . He didn't make any mistakes. Good race for a while though. Sorry that the head weasel had problems. It could have been a good race. My MOMO Porsche was ready................... It was quick. I qualified with the race setup and pushed really hard for a good time ....... for me at least. The potential was there but I just wasn't brave enough.

Missed another one! My own d**n fault this time. I was trying to network my computers and in doing so hosed my internet connection. Didn't get it fixed until this afternoon. I still need to test whether I got rfactor working on windows 7 or not, so I will try like heck to be there this Sunday. I hope you guys had a great race yesterday. SandyR

Man O Man, The car finally came to me in practice and I was looking forward to having a good race. 1 second off the P3 LMP 1 car and I knew I had more in the car. But that weaselly LMP2 of Greg out Q'd me....lol. Good Q Dude. Got past in one of the turns and had to let up a little to much coming out of one of the next turns and the rear was stepping out and I got the assist....lol. Totally my bad. So I had to play catch up. Good race everyone. James I figured it had to be something like that because both of you disco'd at the exact same time.

agree with paul about the mediums switched at the last minute to softs and it made a huge difference over constantly fighting the car waiting for the mediums to come on.. sorry again for that lap 1 tap ced, should've given you a little more room entering that 'squirrelly' 2nd gear corner. enjoyed racing tom at the beginning and again before pitting. no 'real' chance for me to stay out front but latching on at the straights was fun. unintentionally started with too much fuel and should've come in 10 minutes earlier when the tires starting giving up. my pulse would jump a little when i saw that red spyder creeping ever closer in the rearview--one slow speed loop in the 'amateur track builder' section and you would've been by. i managed not to, this time. bob, thanks for keeping me honest congrats terry--unlucky weasels greg

What a race, and what a track! Very challenging, esp. in the slow bits which threatened to take away all traction at any second...
Had a great duel with Paul in the first half; got ahead for a moment after he bobbled coming out of a corner (there's that traction again..), but immediately spun myself going into turn 1 by downshifting one too many times! Had to make that up to catch him again by mid-point.
My setup worked really well; one thing I liked was that all 4 corners used tires at the same rate----kept the handling consistent even when worn and yellow.
See everybody at Jerez!
