thot I'd do some laps at A1Ring...thinkin I'll change to the Aston Martin P1 <sarc> ...6 seconds faster per lap than my creation and the euskadi (hmmm doesnt seem right) ...and screw the peugeot, er sorry, the purr-jo, never did many laps with it ;-) Early observations.

I haven't tried the P1 Aston yet, but I do know that with the addition of the Pug 908/Audi R10 the Zytek, Creation, etc. have been rendered useless....the 908 and R10 are just light years ahead of the existing P1 cars.
The Carbon Racing R10 was just delivered last week and is currently in the paint booth. Testing and setup development is scheduled for the next couple weeks. ;D

Brent,
It's not 6 seconds faster, it has the wrong physics. The update has been posted above. That was my fault for not double checking all the veh files.

Brent's post aside, the Audi and the Pug are still at a different level when compared to the rest of the P1 cars. Early testing at R2P revealed a general concesus that the deisel cars were 3%-5% faster than the rest at any given track. So, a question. Should PORRS allow a mass shift to the Audi and the Pug, or should we have a gentleman's agreement to stick with our current cars? Either solution is fine with me... I just want to confirm what playing field we will be using!

Well, this is a hot debate and like Rob, I would like to know the final result, as I have 2 cars painted up lol, and neither is of the orignal set . I do see where the addition of this service pack has changed ALL the physics of the cars, as you are no longer able to go with 5, as the max d/f for the front splinter anymore on the P2's. I like the................as it seems the only 1 able to break the sub 1.18 barrier, hehe I'am not telling which one

thanks Ced...Perhaps add a couple hundred pounds to the diesels? But with only a week and a half before the season resumes...maybe not enuff time to get it all sorted. ? With the correct physics I may like to use the Aston (or one of the others) but probly won't change mid-season.

You might want to have winners in both the diesel and gas cars. If some of the aliens have no ego problem it would be nice to see the gas vs. diesel confrontation.

Ced,
I've downloaded the Aston file and unzipped it to a TEMP folder and it looks like the folder structure isn't correct. After I unzipped it the path is: Gamedata\EnduranceSeries\P1\AstonMartinDBR1-2?
Shouldn't it be: Gamedata\Vehicles\EnduranceSeries\P1\AstonMartinDBR1-2
Even after I put the files in the: Gamedata\Vehicles\EnduranceSeries\P1\AstonMartinDBR1-2 once I start the game I don't see the Aston DBR1 in the P1 Edurance list.

Hey Dave it is not ending up in the Endurance file for some reason, but it is below it, in the LMP1 file under Lola

I found that after I unzipped it I found it had created a new Endurance file. I just dragged it down to the vehicles file and it worked.

Hi All,
I do plan to have an install that will update all the addon cars and new paints and hope to have it out late Friday. I am still working on getting the new server up and running so that is taking my time currently.
If you are testing an Aston, for now check the veh file to make sure the physics file says dbporrs.hdv. If it does, you have a corrected veh file and you are fine. If not, you need to download the veh files listed above.
