Not a race that I'm proud of. My apologies to James, Leadsled and Burmcat. Next race I will drive better.

That was a tough race, not many good passing zones. Other than some good fender banging on the first lap I don't think I hit anyone, and if I did I'm sorry.
Had a good battle going with Sandy in the first half of the race, not sure what happened to you but you sure came on strong at the end. But by then I had lost focus and was just trying to make it to the end.
Nice turn out and good amount of finishers considering how hard (corkscrew anyone?) the track is.

my first race in over a month, with new puter gizzards. i bumped someone going into the first turn, sorry. made it all the way to 4th by pitstop time. that was my biggest mistake. with the rebuilding of my puter i had to reinstall everything. well i forgot to check the pit menus. i couldnt change anything. well i had a 1 minute pitstop and on top of that i had someone hitting me while i was getting refueled and repaired. but overall i had fun.

It was a tough race, I was surprised I managed to get third on the grid seeing as there was 7 people in practice faster than me (my personal best was a 1.14.1 compared to the front of the grid knocking out 1.13's or even a 1.12!), and I wasn't surprised to go down to 5th when the lights went green. Had a slight contact with the red Lola that finished 4th, it didn't damage the car but it was enough to make me spin out down to 8th. I was fighting my way back up the field to 5th and I passed Burmcat around the outside of the start/finish straight and I wasn't sure if I had room to move out from behind Tom (orange Lola) but I had to when he suddenly braked a little early (compaired to where I would brake) for the first turn, I swerved out even though I wasn't sure if Burmcat had left me enough room but I just clipped Tom's rear left corner (sorry Tom, felt bad about that throughout the race). I'm sorry for anyone else I may have contacted for that matter as I know this track is almost impossible for passing (LMP2's have some good sections for speed around here) I need more practice racing against drivers online like a practice session. Overall I'm happy with 6th knowing that at least the top ten could have been ahead of me as I had dropped to 11th after pitting and getting repairs (might be why it takes over a minute for a stop ) I'm happy I was in the top ten for what is now my home track since I live about 2 hours from the place...and about the same for sears point......but I like Laguna Seca a heck of a lot more ;D

Yes it was brutal.....
The first two laps went well.....ahh...that's about it. Just tried to hang on and finish. Not a bright day for The Squirrel.
But you better look out at The Glen next week.
Edit: Oh Yeah, I forgot to mention how much fun it was trying to run down Nick at the end and failing miserably...lol. ;D

A surprisingly good night for me...
With my new fatherly responsibilities, I had only about 15 minutes earlier in the day for practice. No setup work either, other than tweaking my Mid-Ohio set. I was very concerned when getting to the race server seeing guys running 12s and 13s, when I had only run 17s. Oh well.
Qualified P8 or so. The start was OK, although there was some bumping in the first few corners. I know I got into the back of Tom in T1, but he didn't spin, thank goodness, and I made sure to hold position until we both recovered. My L1 came unglued however exiting the left sweeper before heading up the hill to the corkscrew. I spun the car to driver's left and had to wait for most of the field to get by before rejoining in P16. Not good.
I put my head down and finally started making decent laps, picking off cars here and there. Even made a couple laps into the 14s, so now I'm thinking that I'm somewhat competitive! I get to the group of cars that I think were running P4 through P7. I had a great battle with Harrison, who himself was trying to make inroads on Charlie. I was juking and jiving with Harrison for many laps, trying to goad him into a mistake. He eventually overshot the final corner under braking, and I slipped by. Very fun racing with you there Harrison!!
I kept plugging away and was running in P2 for a while as guys made pitstops. Having started on a completely full gas tank, I was able to make it to the 50th minute before pitting. I turned damage fix off and took no tires since they were still all in the green surprisingly. I was hoping I'd be able to slip by Terry by doing a quick pit stop, but did not have anywhere near enough gap on him. Setting into P4 for the last few minutes and am glad for a Top 5 finish.
Very nice run for the podium guys, particularly Don who had us covered by a large margin, lapping everyone through P4. Dominating drive and well done. Well done Sandy and Terry as well... I may have had a little something for you guys but my early mistakes did me in!
Cyall at the next event! Rob

got thumped into t1/lap1 and it was an uphill battle after that. messed up aero put my laptimes down a couple seconds. add a full bladder from about lap 5 on and it was truly brutal event for me. didn't have anything for bob r. or paul in lmp2. plus i got a drive thru for not letting paul by quick enough--arrrrggghhh passing and being passed was difficult here, fortunately things only got a little pushy towards the end and i survived to finish 3rd in lmp2. looking forward to glen and a good prerace pee beforehand. cheers, greg #78 miska

Yeah it was a brutal day in Monterey. Great racing with Rob. I do need to mention you didn't quite goad me I think it was tires b\c she was all over. I had a lot of fun despite a poor finish. I luv the Glen, I hope to do well for a change.

Not much to say. Landed on the S/F line and no shift. Throttle only. Had to abort to monitor.
Second time IIRC that this has happened. No reason could be determined.
My times were dismal compared to other LMP2's, some of which would qualify for LMP1's IMO. Don't quite understrand how that much speed variation can be obtained with the same car. Skill of course and mine is discusting. Didn't think my ability or skill was that horrible. I am having similar results of poor showing in other rFactor leagues. Stress has to be reduced in life.
Either you got it or you don't and I'am in the latter category.
With that in mind and my disapointing results lately I am deciding to pull from competition, for the time being anyway here with PORRS. GPL continues to hold some interest so will continue with my weekly events there.
Thanks Ced and all here at PORRS.

Larry, in my case, the LMP2 car just fits my driving style perfectly. Put me in an LMP1 and I'm 3 or 4 seconds off the pace because I just cannot get it to hook up. Maybe I should have chosen an Audi or Pescarolo instead of the big Dome... But if I can ever help you with setups or anything just let me know. I hate to see anyone get stressed over something that should be fun and I hope you'll reconsider.

Hey Larry , join the club. I too have felt like you. But, thanks to Paul giving some help I've been somewhat competitive. However you'll notice he waxed me so being able to drive is definately a big factor. I put self into an also ran category. I only won Riverside because all the competition in LMP2 had problems.
And some tracks are better for me. I liked Road America, Riverside and Laguna but I can tell already that Watkins Glen is going to kill me.
And don't forget, you beat me up pretty good at Mosport.
It would benefit me if you did withdraw but I'd rather have another old timer racing even if you do beat me.

LARRY!!! NO! (That's how I yell at our new kitten) I'm totally with Paul and Bob on this thing. Do not give it up, bud. You've only just started here and Rome wasn't built in a day. Take Paul up on his offer for setup help - and I'm sure he'd give driving help too. He is a great setup guy and very obviously knows how to drive these things. Stress? You can't let sim racing be a stress.....it's a game and a heck of a lot of fun. Besides that, in the overall scheme of things it just doesn't matter. Sure we all want to do good, yada, yada, yada but the bottom line is to just have fun with it. Shoot, I can't come close to running with the Group A guys in TPTCC but I choose to run that group just to add another car to their sometimes short field. If I finish 10th overall, which would be a really good race for me, it doesn't matter if it says I'm Group A or Group B. It's all for the fun of it. I can't help you with setups but I can practice on line with you.....that helps, too. I'm a retired old coot, too and can practice at various times. Monday and Thrusday nights I bowl but can practice from about 10PM Eastern and nearly any time of the day until we head to the lanes at about 6PM. Tuesday and Wednesday I usually work (12-5) and can practice AM or evenings. Just stick around.....the fun has just begun. :-) Tom

I'll 4th that Larry. Gawd look at my performance on Sunday. But I keep driving because it's almost like that saying "A bad day of golf....." Some days you're on and some not. I just keep driving because eventually i'll get in a groove and a have few good laps or someone to battle with and that makes it fun. Even if the other 90% of the race sucked....lol.
There are plenty of us here that can give you a hand, bounce ideas off of and help resolve your issues. I'm not great on setups but Paul has offered and we see what he can do. If you are having some other technical issue, fire away and I'm sure I can help.
