Last V8 Race

My congratulations to Ced for an outstanding Summer series. As much as I thought that I wouldn't like the Aussie V8s, I found them very competitive for all. With the exception of John and Mark, who were in a class of their own.
The final race at Bathurst turned out to be my best. I found myself in first place after superman Mark Urban had a problem. It didn't last long. Mark quickly gobbled me up. I even helped. I spun in the corkscrew and he blew by never to be seen again.
I sustained damage on my spinning voyage thru the corkscrew that put an end of any plans of keeping close to Mark. Didn't seem to slow me down but I once again developed a serious case of "old timer's disease". I had forgotten to program any buttons to eliminate body repair . It led to an extended time in the pits.
So I found myself chasing Rick to get back my place. I thought that once I caught up to him I could follow him. Thinking that he must have a pit stop to make. I finally passed him.
Rick, I've looked the replay over and over again and I think my pass was clean. Hope you see it the same. And btw, did you have a pit stop to make ?

Yeah bathurst is a must run when you run the V8's. Did anyone catch what was playing on the jumbotron. LOL that is one of the PORRS edits just to see if anyone catches it. Along with the Snickers Banners ;D.

Had a good Q run and even lead for a bit until over driving the car, the track, the armco, the sand trap, blah blah blah handed the lead over to Bob who started pulling away.

Thanks to all that came out for the Mini's and the V8's. They were fun. Hope everyone had a great summer that decided to take it off. The next event is the "One Ring to Rule Them All". Server and download should be up late tomorrow so for most, look for it Wednesday.

Work is progressing on finishing up the V3 of the Imsa Years. This season we will be hitting the Euro Tracks so we will really get to stretch the legs on these cars. I plan to have a default setup pack as well.
