Well I have to say the last time we had an issue with a race was probably 10 years ago so I'll take the track record. Even though the server never crashed and it was a network issue that killed our connection. But none the less, if the 20 minute sprint we ran is any indication of how the rerun will go it's gonna be a great race. I'll update the schedule page in a few minutes and have a video of the sprint up by tomorrow. There was some good racing.

Got a call from Bob Roberson, he won't make it tonight.....a storm on Thursday knocked out his internet and it won't be restored until next week sometime.

Video glitch/stutter (you know the type the server has when someone wrecks) sent me spinning out of the final turn and into the wall hard, broke the car... three laps later...it happened again.
I'm sorry to whomever it was I cut off in the first hairpin as I plummited into the safety tires and catch fench.
I was running consistant 1:25s at this track and I was way to slow ... I guess I just don't have what it takes to drive these cars.
I'm done.

Well, that was a tale of 3 races in one. Q'd where I thought I would, just couldn't get clean laps. Race started as we slotted for the first turn I saw Dale go shooting by that moved me into 3rd. I was trying to warm it up and keep Scott and Sandy in sight, thru the first few laps. They got together and it moved me into first, where I tried to put it away,Ran good for 10 or so laps but made some tiny mistakes and Sandy started to reel me in. A couple larger ones and he had me in sight and no stopping him. Great run Sandy you deserve the Win here with all the troubles you have had. Scott got by as my bad driving continued, till about two thirds thru, then it clicked back on and the rythem was back, Scott must have been running boost as he had to do a last second pit and my final charging paid off. Thanks for the room to pass guys and Thanks for Everything Ced. Cya guys next week.............

So, You noticed my first turn Kamakazi move Rick. Well the truth of the matter is I was trying to be that guy that takes out the pack in the first Turn LOL. Just kidding. Next Race, anyone who can remember to remind me that the CLUTCH doesn't do well as a brake pedal would help LOL. Yea I almost SH#t a football when I finaly realized what was going on. I just missed Scott, thankfully. My race was an adventure to say the least. If that wasn't enough I had to pit to replace the front nose splitter on lap 1. Then was on a charge to recover as many points as I could. I was 12 after the first lap. I firgured i would start to overhaul some of the places ahead if I kept it clean the rest of the race. It was going as well as expected an I was slowly moving up the field. Then James had his video problem and Next thing I know he is rearending me at 200mph Ouch. So i had to make up even more time. At this point in the race,I was thinking the race gods have it out for me tonight. So I got back at it and ran as hard as I could with a yellow damge halo around the whole car. I was putting in some 1:22's which by the end of the race put me behind Gred's mazda with 2 laps to go. I was all over him at that point and was poised to try and pass him on the front straight. When low and behold Bam! I get punted by my own teamate? If I had passed Gred's it would put me in 5th which would have been pretty good considering all that had happened. At that point the charge was all but cooked an I limped my way home to 7th. Anyway no Hard feelings. I was just a little frustrated by the end of the race and didn't feel like talking on the teamspeack after. James Sh#t happens and after I saw the replay I knew you didn't do that on purpose. Off to Karjarla and hopefully I won't have a major brain Fart on the first lap haha.

Ha Ha. Dale, I really appreciate the fact that you did the clutch thing too. I thought I was a lame brain when I did the same thing in a prior race. Now you know the screaming terror of pushing hard on the pedal and nothing happening. I thought "what the hell is going on". It actually seems like the car speeds up. Now, when I do use the clutch, I really try to make sure I change pedals. It can be so embarrassing not to mention that it can end your race on the first turn.

Race started off bad, Q'd for 5th with a personal best of a 1.22 somehow, I lost a bunch of places at the green light, dropped to 7th I think, then blew my rhythm for a while, James spun, I thought i was going to clear the spin, but he was still going sideways (thought the car was going to take off across the track), then I fouled up through the start finish esses.
Then the car felt weird going up to the 1st stop, the stop didn't help, steering felt light, and that was messing up my rhythm again, eventually got used to it, not sure why my pit crew was so enthusiastic about calling me in for a stop with 8 laps of gas in the tank and the tyres looking good?
Was able to go at boost all the way up to 9 the whole race, wasn't enough to stop Dale catching up, and I made a pass on someone for 5th (sorry I didn't catch who it was, I was busy keeping the black Porsche off of my tail), then I think it was Ced spun going through the bus stop, I stayed right, prayed the gap was good, I might have put down too much throttle as I think the car was starting to light up the tyres, look in my mirrors and all I saw was a car flying upside down. Suddenly I had a gap, so I just took it home as steady as I could, I think I put in a 1.23 somewhere near the end.
I'm happy with the result, don't know how that car went from running with a solid feel to light like the front tyres weren't staying in contact with the road, I think 5th is the best I had done so far with this car, at least I know where the Mazda has an advantage now, what it lacked in torque it made up with cornering speed, could catch James into corners, but he was gone when he got the power out of a corner.

I kind of want to forget this race. I got a good start after a PB - Q I took off chasing Sandy. The places I could catch him were not places to pass. I settled down to wait for a mistake. That can be a long wait. with Sandy. The Tobourg corner was trouble. I pushed him into the dirt twice. I ran slow till he repassed. Trying to be careful was not good for speed. I got back thru the pack but could not catch the Lancia. The pit call was 4 laps too soon for me and I pitted 2 laps too soon to make the distance that gave 2nd place to Rick. I guess with all the mistakes I was lucky to get 3rd. It was still an exciting race and much better than watching on TV.

I wish I could have a redo...lol again. The car was almost where I needed it to be but too much on the edge in others. When I got motivated and didn't make mistakes I could run with about 3rd - 6th, but just way too many mistakes otherwise.

This race was great fun for me. Had the run-ins with Scott which certainly made things interesting Just a racing deal IMHO. Me braking early plus Scott braking late = kablam, lol! Thanks for waiting for me to return to the track Scott, very sporting move on your part. After I made my way back to the front the race was uneventful. Well, Ced's Joey Chitwood imitation out of the last turn made me pucker a bit but we both got through it ok. Bummer that Bob couldnt' make this one. I think he would have had a good run here. SandyR
