Well I will be the first to congratulate Mr Roberson on his first PORRS win. I'm sure it is a popular win. Well for me I wish I had the power on earlier so I wouldn't have screwed Up my setup pick. It cost me 6 MPH on the straight. But the car was good and wish I Hadn't had that bad start. I'm sure Scott was wondering who was driving the Toyota in the closing laps as I was hounding him. Too bad it wasn't for position.
Video should be up late Tuesday

OMG, what a race. And what a great feeling after all these many many many years to finally win. Not just PORRS but in any sim league. I made the race closer than it should have been. Made two pit stops ( I miscalculated the fuel usage ). Had a serious spin out while trying to get by Tom. A little too eager. Missed a shift while racing Lead Sled ran off the track and he passed me while I was spinning my wheels trying to get back on the track. Man these cars are hard to get traction once you leave the racing surface. Then managed to put together a string of very slow laps. I was as low as sixth place for a while and was just trying to be first in P2. I was wondering if I could get my head out of my a - - in time to get back in the rhythm. Dale drove like a man possessed. I couldn't shake him. He was staying with me and I was turning a bunch of 15s. I could hold my own in the twisty stuff but he blew me away on the straight. Dale was topping 200 and I could only manage a 194. Strange.........I thought I was running the same setup. I need to go back and check to see if I loaded the wrong setup for the race. On the final lap he was eating me up on the straight and looked like it was going to be a photo finish. But I confess I moved over to the right to force him to take the outside but he kept his foot in it but had no track left. I just couldn't bear to lose after all that struggle. Dale probably earned that victory. He really drove a superb race. I was able to make a quicker pit stop than he did on the last stop. In fact I took over first while sitting in the pits. I was right behind him when we pitted and I saw him get sideways . I only took a splash of fuel and was able to get away quicker. I don't know what happened to Sandy. Finally I apologize for this lengthy post but I'm just so stoked. And I guess my celebratory glass (s) of wine has loosened my tongue. Thanks everybody.

First off, Well done Bob!
Second, I knew I was slow so I figured I would just stay in the back and run a safe race... it was not to be, moments before the 30 minutes warning flashed my car lost grip and slid off track and hit hard in the barrier around T2. Pitted repaired and off again... the moments before the 5 minute warning flashed, lost grip accelerating out of the hairpin... funny thing was I lifted off the gas and applied a little brake and I swear the car got faster into the wall flipped on its roof and when rF set me back up, I was on the wrong side of the Armco... another race I finished pissed off beyond belief.
It just makes me wonder why I keep coming back to be angered thusly...
Oh, well!
Thanks for the racin'

Thanks James. But don't give up. I tried to quit several times but I'm a glutton for punishment. But the Racing Gods chose to smile on me last night. I won in spite of my self. I tried to lose with a lot of unforced errors. I do know that if I raced here again I'd opt for more top end.

Hey Bob, You did my man!!!!! Way to go. You drove a great race. The first one is always the toughest. You laid down some great finishing laps under pressure. Once you get the first one the next will seem a lot easier and you will wonder what took so long. Believe me I know. As far as the setup goes, i did'nt send you the tweaks I made to the orrigional setup, because you were the faster than me in the hot laps section! I figured you did'nt need it LOL. The other thing I can say is you earned it that one all the way. Just look at his lap count in the hot lap section and you will see how much work Bob put into the race before the green flag fell. The setups are a tool to get you a fast car, but practice is what makes a race. In the end you have to drive the car, not me, And drive you did. Now on the lighter side Bob your on your own for the next race as far as setups go. When you beat the guy who is helping you you no longer need my help! I quit as your race engineer!!!!! Just kidding. I will say this, however in order to give myself some advantage, your on your own with fuel strategy haha. I have to keep something for myself. One last point I have included a screen shot of the finish and I don't see anything wrong with it. Bob I had all the room in the world to finish that pass heheh. I in all honsety I was laughing pretty hard after the race. I don't think anyone here would call that dirty racing. In the famous words of Robert Duval in Days of thunder "that was rubbing and rubbing is racing". Again Bob, GREAT WIN you derserved it, so bask in the glory it only last till the next race LOL. P.s. I'm already working on the next race setup.

Congrats Bob on your first win! From what I could tell you were the fastest car out there last night so you definitely deserved it. Dale and Pat were really strong too. I had the lead late in the race mostly because I was going to make it to the finish on one stop, but I was bitten by the disco bug once again. Eastlink WILL be hearing from me soon, and what they do to fix my internet will determine whether I'm an ex-Eastlink customer or not. Still had a blast though. Competition is so tough this year which makes the racing so intense and fun. Look forward to the next one. SandyR

Good Racing Bob. I'm going to stop by the Lancia dealer and go for a test drive. I only had about an hour of practice on this track. I got up to speed but did not have the laps in to be consistent. Ced I thought that racing was for 6th place. I knew who it was and you were on me. I was not going to give it up easy. Sheldon was back there going pretty fast too.
