Well, Went from 4th to 11th /or last place because of the restart. Not exactly sure why we has one and it put me in a hole I didn't want to start from, when trying to battle for points. Congrats to the winner...........

Sorry about that Rick. Too much wheelspin spun me out into the wall where I think I was blocking some folks who were behind me. Karma got me back though as I ended up in the kitty litter on the restart. Congrats to John and Dave on blowing the rest of the field away, including me. Even with a perfect start I had no chance of keeping up with you two. I learned some things though so I'm hoping to put up more of a fight at the finale. SandyR

My first start was better than my second and Dave got by me on the second. Made quick work of passing Dave on the OUTSIDE of Quarry going up the hill towards "the cutting" was pulling away nicely when I clipped the edge of the wall ever so slightly going down towards Forest's Elbow. Almost got beached but was able to get going again but 20 seconds behind Dave at this point. The car was not too bad but I lost about 3 mph on top speed. Slowly I reeled him in. Setting a 1:34.2 en route, until with 30 minutes to go I was right on him and we both pitted on the same lap. I got my repairs and service done and out I went, back in the lead. I then pushed again for several laps until I had a cushion and then backed down a little to make sure I finished. Great battles through the event. On to Lemans next

I managed to grab the pole away from John somehow. The pile up behind me in the first start was all my fault. I did practice taking off from the start line but come race time my brain had a major FART and I blew it totally, sorry to all behind and sorry to Rick for causing the restart. The second start was a bit better and I managed to beat John to T1 but I knew that wouldn't last very long, I race with this guy in another league and I could never keep up with him there either. So being content with P2 I turned down the fuel setting to #2 and just tried to run a clean race. John and I came in for our pit stops at the same time but again I totally had a brain FART and sat waiting for my team to tell me I could go, well that never came and I sat there for probably 20 seconds longer then I could have. Second half of race was the same as the first half, kept the fuel settings at #2 and managed to finish the race in P2.
Good to be back racing in the PORRS league again, cya all at Le Mans

Talk about disappointing. Sorry to Rick but the track was blocked for everyone behind so that's why the restart. For some reason my car seemed to be loading some mystery setup where in 5th gear I could only manage 180. So I tried a couple times during Q and no go still with that setup. Then something must have happened on race start as my "good" setup got loaded and once I realized that (a couple laps to make sure) I had some of the best racing I have had in a while, had a great contest with Scott and Rick and on the first attempt had to bail at the bottom of the hill to not hit Scott. Slowly reeled Scott and Rick back in and when I guess Rick saw me coming again he better get past his teammate. Decided to pit next lap around and the mystery meat setup loaded and my race was done.

Ced, I think the reason your top speed was 180 was because you had the pit speed limiter on. I had the same issue in practice and once i shut it off I could go above 180 again. I should have mentioned this during practice, sorry.

Congrats to John. And to the other "aliens". I had nothing for them other than a very short lead into turn two, earned by a great start for a change. I am always too cautious on the first lap. I'm back where I belong, hustling to keep from being lapped. ( Unsuccessfully ). But I had a brief flirt with being competitive. I chose the wrong fuel strategy but I doubt it would have changed my finishing spot, however. Missed Nasella and the Weasels being there. Always give me someone to race with. Along with Sheldon.
LeMans next with promises of horsepower boosts from Ced. I hope I have a better LeMans experience this year. I crashed out early and lost the chance to vie for the "Lites" title. This has been a good year for PORRS. Having some old friends showing up. I hope we have a full turnout for the finale. And, already, I'm looking forward to running those hunkering DTM cars. They should be fun. I would, also, be remiss if I didn't thank the Captain for helping me this season. And, of course, Ced. He puts in a lot of time and effort to make this league competitive and enjoyable.
