Sorry to hear that Scotti. It's one thing to blow it while racing and quite another to be taken out by a computer glitch. I want to commend everyone on a great season. I was having a good race until I got into a dice with Rick Rey. I got so into the racing that I missed my pit stop. When I went by I thought oh sh.. I'm going to run out of fuel. I immediately went into fifth and stayed there as I just motored around the track. Luckily I managed to make the pits before I ran out. I'm pretty sure I coasted into the pits. But I lost gobs and gobs of time. Anyway, my hopes for a third place finish went down the drain. But third would have been a miracle. Sandy,Slee, and Nelson were uncatchable. I don't know what happened to John. He seemed to slow at the last. And looks like Dave DNF'd. Congrats to Rick on his finish. I'd like to have had another shot at him. We had some real fender rubbing competition. Too bad I had an attack of "oldtimers" disease and missed my pit stop. The big red machine was running pretty good. Love those Italian cars. Congratulations of your Championship Sandy, you really had a good season.

Watch out for stack braking. You can't win on the first lap. Don't be that guy. Sorry Rick. I was having some video flicker and should have backed off a bit. Congrats to Sandy fast and steady all season. Congrats to Rick comming from the back 2nd was a great result. My vid got worse as the lights came on that and forgetting where I was in the dark doomed me. Thanks to Sandy who let me back on the lead lap or he was running out of gas. It let me avoid being lapped at LeMans. Great season thanks to Ced for his work on the Mod and running this circus.

Congrats to Sandy for the race Win and the season Championship!! You had some struggles with your internet connections, but that seem to be the only thing that slowed you down. a Great consistant drive to the Championship Sandy. I only had 2 mishaps on the last race on the first and last lap. As my team mate has stated we got together on the first lap that put me in a hole, but it was a long race and night changes this race alot. Had some great battles thru out the race, Bob and I did exchange some green and red paint with some close, fierce racing. My big apology for the night goes to Mr. Slee. I had been having trouble with my pit speed limiter ALL night, for some reason it would either not engage or if engaged would not dis-engage. Twice on leaving the pits I lost time trying to dis-engage the limiter, and on the last lap, after passing the lights I could not get it dis-engaged I pushed the key twice with no luck, I looked at the keyboard to make sure I was pushing the right key, and when I did my car drifted towards the middle of leaving the pits, and Mr Slee clipped me as he was comming around I should have been well on my way, but the limiter had done it again. My Apologies Mr Slee. Ced, Thank YOU!!!!!! for ALL THE HARD WORK you did during the season and making this a GREAT PLACE to Race!!!!!! I am going to take the summer off, as I need to up grade some equipment before next season. Thank you to ALL DRIVERS for the pleasure of racing with a fine group of Racers!!! Also again, a BIG Thanks to Ced, for your Hard Work,in keeping the League and Mods running, Thank you. Cya on track...Rick R.

My race had some highs, and one big low. Sandy and I had a great battle going for the fist part of the race. We were swapping positions a couple of times a lap but we both made a few mistakes which would allow the other person to get a good lead but then the person in the lead would make a mistake allowing the other person to retake the position. I had a couple of spins which caused body damage but it wasn't enough to affect top end so I didn't do any repairs during my pit stops. I was just starting my last lap of the race and running in P3 I think when Rick's car came out of the pits right into the middle of the track in front of me. I moved over to the left to get by him but he drifted over into me as I was along side him and that put me into the wall damaging my steering and I was unable to finish my final lap which would have put me in P2 I believe. Had a lot of fun for 74 minutes of the race at least Congrat's to Sandy on the win and the other podium finishers, cya all at the DTM series.

Congrats to Sandy on the win and Championship. Well deserved. My race went from bad to worse, but it was due to me running a real 24 hour race Saturday and Sunday morning, so my eyes were BLOOD red. Started ok, drafted as best I could passed one then was closing on the car in front, don't remember who, skipped the last chicane slide sideways and drove straight into the TIRE ROCK on the pitlane entrance. Damaged car very bad and had to limp around to get repairs. The funny thing was that I had 220 MPH top speed down the Mulsane straight...lol Wouldn't turn though otherwise I would have left it. Came in got my repairs and then car would only do 202 instead of 206 that I had before. On my last stop I thought it would only be 25 laps so I took some fuel out. DUMB mistake, cost me a podium. Had to do a splash a few laps from the end to make it. Got back to P4 by the end. Good fun at night since I ran all night the day before on a different version. Hats off to CED for another great season. This is my second here and I love these cars and can't wait for next season. See everyone in the DTM cars

First off the congrats to Sandy and Bob.
Man I want a redo for Q. It was my own fault. Was on a flyer and came up on Sheldon who gave me plenty of room so what do I do, clip the curb and backed it into the wall. So had to start last. We were having interesting conversation on TS and sure enough things started to happen. By lap two I was up to 7th. Running good consistent laps. Had a few stupid mistakes getting under power then night came. Got a couple spots back at night and then in the closing minutes trying to catch Gary had another stupid off knocked my TS down to 201. Even with that somehow while trying to get back to Gary I did my PB on the last lap of the race......REDO..REDO...REDO....lol.
Thanks everyone for a great season and James for the assistance. You guys are what keep me doing this and look forward to the summer. For those taking the summer off, enjoy the time the best way you can.
Cheers

Congratulations to Sandy and Bob on their championships. A job well done, guys. Thanks to Ced for continuing to honcho the league and to James for his contributions. We're lucky to have people who will get the job done.
Don't know how much I'll race during the summer. For some reason I've not got the enthusiasm for it that I used to have. When I try to practice I'm ready to quit after a couple of laps. Perhaps some time away from it will help, I dunno. Anyway, it's been fun.

Post by greds04 on 23 hours ago Well that race almost went better than I thought, qualified 10th on the grid, and had an okay start, dropped to 11th and had Sheldon chasing me for the next two or three laps, for some reason I had some spare couple of MPH when he got close enough the car would go from 205-212 on the straight. I guess I was braking just right as he couldn't make a pass for the corners, and then he spun on the curb at the slow right at the end of the long straight. Not sure who I picked up after they recovered from a spin, but they were on me until we got to the porsche curves, and the sun was setting.
I think I may have lost my splitter a couple of laps in (at least that's what it looked like on the replay, or that was someone else's flying up at the start finish line), although my car wasn't showing damage, the front tyres were dropping down into the low 50's, had a couple of close calls in the night, and then on the penultimate lap, the car under steered into the steel posts at the start finish line, but I was able to keep it going and finish in 7th, damage didn't effect top speed.
I think that's the best finish I have had at Lemans since we started racing this track for the last few seasons.

First Congratulations to Sandy and Bob on two great seasons. In all honesty If Sandy hadn't not had disco problems in the beginning of the season i wouldn't have even been close to him in the season's last race at Lemans. My only regret from this season is how bad of a race i had at lemans this year. I assumed wrong fuel would become an issue under constant drafting down mulsane. I figured that the increase in speed and rpm's would burn to much fuel. My choice of 6’Th gear was to save as much rpm’s while still running 206 mph solo down mulsane. So when Dave and Sandy started to draft on the first lap I thought that they would have to make early pit stops and possibly have to make an extra stop. So poor Bob is trying to push me along mulsane and thus keep us both in contact with Dave and Sandy i was doing everything to keep Bob from pushing us into the 215 mph range HAHA. He must have been dumbfounded by my behavior? Anyway, to compound matters I loaded a different setup than what i had been practicing with up to the race. I had extra tire pressure in all four tires and it wasn't as fast as i had been running during all the practice i had been doing. During the race I had trouble breaking 3:00 min. while in practice with the other setup I was into the 2:58/ 2:57's pretty early in the fuel run. It cost me big time and I was at a loss during the whole race trying to figure out what happened to my lost speed. In hind sight i should have done everything possible to keep glued to Sandy's bumper and just follow him through out the race as well as in and out of the pits. It would have given me a better chance than the strategy that i used for the race, opps. Any way, it was a fun season and I learned a lot from it as well as the fact that I had more speed this season than any before it. Still, Second place for the overall championship is still very satisfying considering the level of competition. So in closing thanks Ced for another great winter season this year and all the work that you put into this racing thing for all us to enjoy.
Ps Sorry it has taken me this long to reply and I hope people don't think it was sour grapes ,but I have been flat out this week getting my camper ready for the long weekend ahead and just haven't had any time to sit down and reply to the forum. I just got back from camping last weekend an hour before the race. Which is not an excuse I had so much time practicing that it only took a couple of laps to get into the racing mode last Sunday. I have no one to blame for my lemans performance than my own stupidity haha.

No worries Tom and Rick. If you remember way back when, we did take the summer off. Just for the reason you are speaking of. Gave you time to forget about it and something to look forward to in September. So enjoy the summer. If you feel like it, drop in if you like and hope to see ya in September.

Had a great race with Dave for a number of laps, trading the lead several times along the way until it started to get dark. At dusk we both seemed to have our issues. In complete darkness I was absolute rubbish, but was fortunate that none of my offs lost me too much time. When that sun rose again I was one happy camper. I feel very lucky to win this championship. I thought for sure it was going to be Dale or Rick, who both drove great all season long. I think they will contend for the championship again next year. With John and now Dave in the mix, the battle for the title next fall should be better than ever. SandyR
