Wow what a pair of races.
I really expect to find the track as slippery as it was last night during the race, but WOW! what a blast. Race 1, finished fourth, a well deserved place, feeling like I was best of the rest...
Race 2, I didn't fair as well and rolled across the line in fifth, but had a fantastic battle going for pretty much the whole race.
Great racing from the field, good close door to door for a lot of it, truly a drivers field... one little bobble and like sharks they are ready to attack.
Again... Wowsers!
Congrats to the podiums, I'm going to have to watch the replay and watch to find out where you guys are out driving me.. When Sandy passed us in Race 2, it was like we were missing a gear, he just drove away from us.
Looking forward to some great fun this summer.
Thanks for the Racin'!
James

Long Beach was a ball. The car was a little wacky though. It would slide sideways at times. Like it was balanced 50/50. I had a good first race but my second one was a little hectic. Being father's day, I got a call from my son just as we started qualifying. I chose to talk to my son so consequently I was "tail end charlie". I had a great battle with James and could close up on him but he always got through the last hairpin cleaner and outran me down the straight. Later I had a similar battle with Sheldon. I almost caught him on the last lap only to succumb to the "hair pin" and lose a drag race to the finish. These cars are a lot fun and using the same setups make you realize how good John, Sandy, and Carlos really are. And I'm sure I'm leaving someone else out, but you know who I mean. All the aliens. I will probably miss Moscow because we are doing a major renovation to my home. Good thing will be that I finally will have a private race room again.

Hello, Thank you for letting me race in your club, the races are very exciting, with racers from everywhere instead of the racers on the computor, Thank you mr Bob Roberson for your kind words including me with the fast racers. in the first race my qualifying was very poor. On my start my line moved very quickly to let me make up some positions as we passed the red bull sports car I was ready to have a long fight with the drivers. on the front straight the red bull car was not there so my fight was with Mr. John nelson He was very fast I could not attack him my practice with the heavy load of petrol was not good with alot of crashes. I try but the weight does not allow this to attack. To me second place is very good. In the following race I am ready for qualifying and am on the front. I take off very fast and I am winning. But Mr John Nelson catches me as we hit it is racing, he slowed down I was not sure what to do, We resume our battle but now I am thinking of him and I am making Very many mistakes he passes m car and I try to attack again but I am not confidant and I must race a few laps to get ready. I could not attack as he was to far and my practice was not good. Thank You Very much for racing. Congradulations Mr John Nelson for your Wins you were very fast with the heavy petrol. I almost forgot the most important part of my race, Thank you Mr Sandy Robinson and Mr Ced Collins for my very Wonderful painted cars I like them very much

Well didn't get in a good Q lap for Race 1 and had to start in the back. Made up a few spots until I got to Head Weasel James. This was reminiscent of the TPTCC battles as The Rodent Wars continued at Long Beach in race 1. Weasel vs Squirrel, ahh the memories and the great race long battle as the Weasel won this battle.
Race 2 I was able to get in a good Q lap and once again the Crew gave me a good car off the line. Slotted in to third and that's where I would finish. Every now and then I would get to see Carlos and John as they battled but the Mondeo still needs some work getting off the corners quicker. The Boys are looking forward to Moscow.
