Just want to thank everyone for showing. I think for the most part everyone had a good time. I know there were some incidents but I'm sure thats because we haven't raced against each other which is always the case with new drivers.
THanks again to Mike for getting this together and hopefully we can do it again.
If someone has the standings could the please email them to me at gtp@porrs.net. I lost my con right after I saved the replay.

I will try to have the standings and Webpage updated tonight. I should have the recap section done by tomorrow. Make sure the car you raced is in the upload section for the recap.

I was haulin' away until around lap 24/25ish, I decided to pit because my left front was getting a bit worn. Pulled into the pits, everything went great, left the pits, 2 turns later my engine just quits out of nowhere and I spun into the wall, towed the car back, but it couldn't be repaired. ARRR...oh well

Will say my "sorrys" here again, I hit PH as he was trying to recover from something, lost 2nd gear the 2nd time I used it which caused me to punt...someone, never got replay, disco'd after race. After I punted him I had no idea where I was or which way to go so I tried to get off the track and I guess I cut right across someones nose, sorry. Lost 3rd shortly after and ran the rest of the race in 4th and 5th...and was still doing fast (for me) laps! Right near the end 1st then 2nd place lapped me, 1st had some kind of problem and 2nd got by him and he got loose in front of me so I backed off to keep behind him but I guess he was slower from damage and I nudged the back of him a tad (no damage to me)...and he blowed-up! Sorry. I practiced a bunch, liked the track had some fun but it was NOT one of my best races. Bob

I managed to miss all the wrecked until someone "T" boned me with less than 2 minutes left in the race. Didn't look like he even attempted to slow down, just drove right into the side of me, wrecekd my motor and caused major body damage.

I dunno, I didn't think I was revving too high, though it's a pretty bumpy track, and keeping on the gas sometimes I'd hit the rev limiter. Maybe 75% was too high for grille tape, though 75 hasn't had any bad effects before.
Anyone get the replay of that race? I got discoed right after it ended.

Don't worry about it, Bob. My car was crazy loose at the start -- that impact actually IMPROVED my car. Pitted very early to fix damage, came out in 22nd or so and just gradually made my way back through the field, ending up 5th or 4th. Pretty sure it was fifth -- I think the race ended before I crossed the line that last time. Seemed like I spent the whole race trying to dodge other people's spins which kept things exciting in spite of the fact I was pretty much locked in position five the entire last half of the race. Scott, I think there might be something to that Mercedes detonation problem. I think I read somewhere that they are more likely to blow up than the other cars even though they are faster when they are running. Sort of like the Lotus in GPL... The Jag's a nice car to drive. I might try it again next race just for giggles.

Dave,
You might be ok, remember the race runs 1 hour and 3 minutes to make sure everyone is scored. So you will actually be scored at one hour not one hour 3 minutes.
;D

My race started of ok. Didn't Q because of Admin duties for timing but still started in 16th. Made my way up to 10th until I had to pit and thats when everything went bad. (Pit crew weren't out. 2nd race, gotta fix that...lol), call for toe, 23 + seconds, got black flagged for speeding out. Then I think I had contact with PC #18, Sorry Mate, My con was acting funny. Came back in to serve Black flag and got another BF for exiting pits incorrectly. Came back in looking for crew, no where to be found. Called for tow and had passed my pits so it was a 4:32 second tow.....Uuuuggghhhh.
Oh well next time.

Did you get a copy of the replay, Ced? I'd love to see how I managed to avoid a couple of those accidents...

I don't know how I managed to survive to the finish, but I did! I know I hit (and was hit) a number of times, but somehow the damage seemed to be minimal. I know one time I was hit and rolled several times! Had a lot of fun, but boy was I tired! I was soaked with sweat, just like the big boys! I lost my connection before I was able to save the standings or replay.
