Lotta fun... as usual.
Had a decent qual lap of a 1:06.1 or something like that, which was good for fifth on the grid.
Start for me was good, although I may have nudged someone to the outside. Got into race groove pretty quickly. Was very good in the turns but not so good under braking. Made a lot of time from T3 to T8 every lap. Came up with a set that was rock solid in the moderate speed corners. Had a bit too much oversteer for lower speed corners, which cause 2 self spins in the chicane leading to the front straight. I had to pinch a couple times to avoid other spinners, and around I went.
Lap traffic was challenging. Some of the time I just bided my time and waited for a mistake. Most of the time the lapped drivers I found were courteous and let the leaders by.
Was running 3rd or 4th most of the event, although I had a lap or two "at the point" while pit stops cycled. Had some exciting laps with Sandy mid race... trying to battle while negotiating lapped cars was pretty intense. Hope I didn't brake check you too many times at the chicane, Sandy... I was not good under braking there, and had to get way slowed up to avoid oversteer self-spins. Sandy and I nudged each other once, I think, up the back stretch, but other than that, I think we were clean.
When the race was called, I had made it to 3rd due to the leader's problems. It might be a P4 if Ced needs to make a timing correction. Was lucky at the finish... another 5 minutes I would've needed a splash and go!
Again... good fun. Was able to save reply, although I have not watched it yet.
