Just want to step in here for a quick note for Dave Slee and anyone else that have comments related.
Dave, would you be so kind to, once again, give me the description of the PS2 wheel and pedals you use and where can they be attained. Also the necessary means of getting the system to run on the PC.
I believe both you and Rusty Greer mentioned that you were using this particular wheel and pedal system with success. If I am wrong, my appoligy.
I tried to find that thread where you both mentioned using these components in the GPL forum but couldn't locate it. If anyone else has infornmation on this please let me know.
My email address is: laloha@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Larry Hansen

Larry, I'm using the Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel. It was designed for the PS2 but it works just as well on a PC. The only thing you don't get is the 900 degree's of steering, only 200 degree's. The real advantage to it I believe is when using it with rFactor. The wheel has about 10 buttons as well as a HAT that you can assign functions to in the game. You don't need to install any software for it, your PC see's it as soon as you plug it into a USB port. If you shop around you should be able to pick it up for a good price, I think I paid $129.00 CAN for mine. Have a look on Logitech's website for them under Products. I use it along with a customs made set of pedals: members.shaw.ca/westcoastpedals/westcoastpedals/ (my buddy and I make them) Hope this helps Larry.

Thanks Dave.
Appreciate the return and information.
I was aware of the West Coast Pedals from our Rally2 days.
I know Jon Ferraer (sorry for a possible misspelling) and I think Alan Owens said they use your pedals and were very complementary of them. I would surly like to have a set but the other boss around here just doesn't see the need for them. Might be the value figure that turned her off. Sure look like Mac Truck strong and top shelf quality.
Maybe I don't really qualify. If I was an alien like youself, Jon, Alan, and the many who have your quality product, maybe.
Still haven't got rFactor installed. Found a disc with rFactor on it that Vance Hone gave me. Maybe some day but looks like a long learning curve and I might be to old to get up to competition caliber. Driving in a cab is also difficult for me. Never could get GTR and this might be another waste. Looks very good though, at least some of the mods and pictures in the forums.
Still enjoying GPL and that is keeping me busy, with two leagues at this time.
Thanks again and good hearing from you. Miss our times together,
Larry

By the way, our two entries are now confirmed, as the 2006 Bullrun website is now up. www.thepits.us/br1000/The track, it sounds like, should be released shortly. Hope so, cuz I think we'll need all the practice we can get! R

Ok Guys, The two teams are entered. I apologize to Kevin and Loren as the only diplomatic way I could do this was to go by PORRS seniority. As of today there looks like there are 42 Teams registered so I'm guessing it is cut off since the original limit was 40. www.thepits.us/br1000/

Just wondering if the 001 team is going to have the same paint job as the 000 or do we need to get our own paint job?
Can I get James, Rob, Kevin and Loren's email address please. Just send me an email to the below address and I'll add you to my contacts. (I'm pretty sure I've got your's Rob but just in case)
Mine is daveslee@shaw.ca
We also need to decide on what program we're going to use to communicate with each other during the race.
I'm looking forward to this race ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Oh... when I saw the clown, I thought we were just gonna go with that for both cars... so I didn't do anything yet.
If PORRS A still wants a separate paint, I'll give it a shot.

Rob,
I just wasn't sure if we were going to run the Clown paint scheme on both cars, I think the Clown paint job is a hoot ;D Should we have each car painted a bit different so that people will be able to tell the difference between the cars (other than the number of course)? Maybe we can make the main paint color of the 001 red instead of blue or something like that. Or if you want to go with another paint scheme how about a Red Bull paint scheme.
