Here I was having an emergency and had to take care of some work stuff. Got home 25 minutes before scheduled driver change, read all the stuff in the mailing list, downloaded the added carset and logged on to the forum with 10 minutes to spare and saw Bob's post.
Man this is really going to be a long night back at work...lol.
Yes, please let me know how everything went. It's racing ;D

Rob started PORRS_A and I started PORRS_B. The rolling start was a mess, I got a black flag as did others. Running a pace near the back of the pack, car was spotless, called for my first stop at 1 hour, signaled drivers behind me that I was pitting, got punted hard into wall. Car had lost a lot of down-force both front and rear, was just trying to make it to the hand-off to Harrison. Communicated to Harrison that I would be pitting early because the tires were shot, hit outside wall of last turn hard right where there is an opening. At same time as my crash Harrison's 'puter crashed. Pitted and when Harrison came back I handed over a well-worn car. As I was just about to leave James came on the PORRS_B TS channel and asked if I could try to do a driver switch with Rob because it was not working with James. Made a switch with Rob and then tried a swap with James. Car pulled out of pits right into the pit wall, I no longer had control of car...but neither did James! The freakin AI had the car Told Admin about it and we were DQ'd and as that was happening I saw Harrison pull into the pits all blowed-up. That's racing? Ya, I guess Oh well. I feel terrible that Ced never got to run...again. Bob

Endurance racing in rFactor has, I think, a lot of potential, but I don't think it's quite there yet.
PORRS A was having a decent run the initial part of the race. I qualified the car P15 with a 1:41.3 lap. The start was challenging. Many guys behind me wanted to go much faster than I wanted to go the first lap, and I dropped to about P22 after the first lap.
Was coming along well, though, through the first 10 laps, and cracked the Top 20 by 10 laps. Then, the guy a couple positions ahead of me spun off the final corner. I thought he would slide down the banking, but he slid up it instead, and I T-boned him. Mussed the front end of our car up, and I pitted early to fix it.
The rest of my stint went pretty well. I was running solid laps in the 43s and picking up a position here and there... missing a couple other spinners (barely...) along the way.
At L56, I attempted to hand the car off to James. I could see that he was riding as my passenger, but the game would not hand the car off to him on the pit stop. We tried like 5 times to do it. Finally, I did another half stint while James got Bob to come over, take the PORRS A car for a couple laps, then trade off to James. Bob reported above what happened after that.
The race was much fun... just wish we were able to make it to the end, because we had a solid strategy to get at least the PORRS A car to the finish. I'm bummed for Dave and James as they didn't get to run the car at all. We'll getum next year though!!
See everyone for the next GTP race!!

I"m not sure what's going on with the race results but they are showing PORRS_A in last place even though 15 cars had fewer laps complete, www.thepits.us/br1000/2006_BULLRUN_1K_race.htmlThe results show PORRS_B with 77 laps complete and PORRS_A with 78 laps complete. All in all I don't think the race went all to well considering that only 15 cars finished the race. Lots of people had driver swap problems and connection problems by the sounds of it. Oh well hopefully they'll get thing's figured out for next year. Congrats to both PORRS teams for you valiant efforts ;D ;D ;D ;D DaveS
