Ahh..retro stylee. Feels good to have a high-speed-chuck-it-into-the-corner-and-deal-with-it-later type of track. Thx Ced

What kinda laps times we gonna see? I've not driven with current ini yet... but in another race at this track we saw times in the 1:12s.
You're right, Stephen, this is a fun configuration!

Well Rob, I've done high 1.12's in the Toyota so I should think the Jags and Saubers should be in the 1.09's. About a second or so difference due to the car and the rest in talent. Stephen E

Actually it's a great track to get working with the set up guide as all the corners have clear entry - mid corner - exit phases and they are all long enough for you to work out what's going on with the car. Plus you've got 5 juicy right handers each lap to give you feedback on. Me and my Toyota in the mid 1.12.5xx now.

Yes, I wanted a good flow track with some good speed and everyone has plenty of rrom to pass and battle. Plus I like this one better than the new one. I'll have the distance out tomorrow. Ced

Yea, this is a great track but my choice to use the Mazda for the gtp2 events has me on the mileage ropes. I seem to require an extra pitstop. Like the Mazda for handling but fuel is for the pits.

Actually Ced I think it's gonna be pretty tight to pass on this track if the car in front gets off the corner Ok-ish because there's really no slow corners and long braking zones.....but lots of battling yes I'll have the distance out tomorrow. Ced Well Larry, Ced hasn't put the distance up yet. Perhaps he'll read your post and extend the race distance slightly so that everyone has to stop twice or you could join the growing ranks of Toyota drivers Stephen E

Hi Stephen and all,
I didn't know if it would be acceptable to change cars during a season. I am getting around 16 to 17 laps and that is tight, per lap. So 3 and possibly 4 pits will for the mazda with me in the seat.
If I can go to the Toyo. and learn to drive it, then that would be better for sure. I will try the Toyo out and see how I can do just is case it's OK. Hope Ced reads this and submits his thoughts.
I believe I have a Toyo in the car file already as an alternate GTP2, and forgot to ask about this issue before. My mistake.
Thanks,
Larry

Hey Larry no problem with me at all....same problem with the fuel thing in my other league...but read on... My Toyota should do about 23 laps to the tank (according to the readout coming out the pits) and I saw that Ced had set the race distance to 49 laps so I'm stopping twice anyways. You might want to look at the Mazda's mileage because maybe you'll be able to get away with 2 stops too...so I think Ced might have your problems in mind with this increased race distance. But if you wanna become a toy-boy too then I've got no problems with that at all. Steve E

Steve,
I worked with the Toyo last night after posting here and can get around 20- 21 laps. Strange thing happened at 20 laps. Screen froze and then the spotter came on and said was running low on fuel. Hope he doesn't do that during the race.
Was quite sloppy but finally started running more consistant 13's with a smattering of 12's and a few grass trips but might give it a try. Consistancy has always been a problem with me.
The Toyo always seemed difficult for me since I probably run to far into the corners and overshoot more getting tangled with the grass, walls and such. The Sauber and Mazda are somewhat easier for me. Never really feel comfortable with the Jag. Probably need to work with like the Toyo.
Thanks for good to go. I feel more confident about the possibility of only 2 pits with the toyo.
Larry

Hi Guys,
To address Larry's question. The cars available for GTP2 are the Mazda and Toyota. You can drive either car at any time during the season. Just have paint uploaded so it looks pretty on the website...lol.
