This will be an ongoing process of adds and deletes. If you have raced PORRS before you know what the rules are. I am specifically mentioning the ones I want to make a point of here.
1) Racing surface. This includes the curb. 2 wheels must be on the racing surface at all times.
2) Restarts. Unless 3 cars or more are dumped at the start of the race, there will be no restarts.
3) Racing etiquette. Never had a problem here and don't expect this race to be any different.
4) Passing - It is always the over taking drivers responsibility to make a clean pass. It is not the driver being passed responsiblity to give up the position easily within reason. This is a long race and no sense in crashing each other out. If you are being lapped it is your option (with plenty of space) to move over and allow the faster car to pass. This will always get you brownie points for not holding them up.
5) Blocking (a deliberate move to impede ones progress) is not allowed.
6) No Chatting during the Race or Qualifying. Please wait for the CLEAR to start chatting after Qual.
7) You must signal exiting the pits. You do not need to signal entering the pits as long as your intentions are known. Drivers if you are following a driver out of the last corner and stays or ducks to the right it's a could indication he/she is pitting.
8) Catastrophy - If the Server crashes for whatever reason in the first 15 minutes we will attempt one re-run. If the server crashes after the 1 hour mark the race will be considered official as long as records are available to verify everyones laps at the time of the crash.
9) Flamming - Why am I even mentioning this, it's PORRS
10) Scoring - This is a two hour timed event. The winner will be the one scored as completing the most laps at the moment time has expired and crosses the start / finish.
11) Special - We have one PORRS racer that occasionally gets stuck in warmup when the game goes to race. I will annouce we are going to race right before the game changes. The racer will have 15 seconds to tell me if he is not in the grid so I can restart the race without the race actually starting. After the 15 seconds there will be no restart unless rule #2 happens
