Well first off I apologize if I double messaged in the chat after the race, I couldn't see my chat window update when I typed (probably related to the lag I experienced in practice). Wow what a race, practice had me a little bit unnerved as the car was not very settled through certain corners, and wanted to let the tail go at every possible opportunity. Then I experienced some severe lag where I was lucky to get one frame a minute so I had to quit back to the pit area, amazingly I found that a little tweak to the diff and the rear suspension fixed the fish tail problems and was able to push 1.36's which was a personal best for me. The race was pretty much mind blowing from my point of view, I made 6th on the grid, and had a pretty good start off the line and managed to thread my way into third or fourth for about a lap before Sandy was up to speed and flew past me, and eventually I was back down to 6th, nothing much happened from there really, passed a couple of spins and an accident between I think Ced and a bright red Reynard or Mazda. I eventually pitted about lap 22-23, from temporarily holding 1st place and a minute later after ignoring body repairs and just tires and fuel, I'm out of the pits in 2nd place still, and for the rest of the race!? I was surprised as the position graph at the bottom of the screen was showing me as 2nd, then it suddenly changed to show I was 5th, then it switched back again, I thought it was just playing a joke on me and I wasn't expecting anything far above 5th or 6th where I started, I guess some of those 1.36 lap times helped even though the top 5 starters were a second faster, and I pretty much avoided any traffic troubles, mainly due to the track being so fast I didn't really see anyone for the majority of the race. I did have a couple of moments at the hairpin and at the fast sweeping left after the hairpin, but nothing serious unlike most of my races this season.

Red Weasel Reports
Hey, What a great race! The LMP-2 Reynard almost had a chance here and it is such a fun track to drive much like last weeks RSP.
I do need to see the replay, I think I spun all by my lonesome down there in the hairpin, but if I was given a little help, I want to be sure to give the guilty party the evil Weasel eye, maybe even set my “Hit Squirrels” out to maybe fix your brakes for the next race….and I did say I may have done it all on my lonesome in which case I shall exonerate my self by buying the team a round of Weasel Juice to suave the open sores.
Had some great racin’ and stuff miss calculated the fuel big time and had to make a second stop, luckily I had a plenty big gap saved up so I didn’t lose the Position while drinking up the fuel.
I was disappointed that The Full Metal Squirrel had his grip issues; I was looking forward to some door to door racin’ with him. Lots of fun and very little cussing, there was still some, only a little.
The number one rule is: Never get involved in a land war in Southeast Asia, the second not as famous rule is “More Down Force” That is what help the Weasels, we ran 28 out of 30 for Front and Rear Down Force and it gives plenty of grip when on the binders hard and in those twisty bits, mind you to be a little mindful of the shift from first to second, very easy to break loose if you are a bit heavy footed.
The only real issue the Weasels had is when I side swiped the Weasel Wench and sent her on what appeared to be a automotive ballet, as she spun and righted her car and aimed at me I chose the better part of Weaseldum and raised tail and sce`dattled on out of there.
So, watch out when we go to the Spec Fords, the Weasels will be the ones to watch.

Greds, I apologize for rearending you. I never thought I'd close so fast on an Audi. I got paid back though. I broke my wing and had to make a 66 sec pit stop. Later I had another incident and broke the wing again.. this time it was a longer repair. Go figure. As you remember I threatened to fire my old pit crew for the gas incident at RPS so these guys must have been a little slow on purpose. The lil Pilbeam was really hauling ass. I was having a ball. This was a Pilbeam track for sure. But I managed to muck it up.................. As usual someone got sideways on the start and my 4th place on the grid was shot as a whole bunch of cars shot by me as I tried to manuver around the carnage. I have to thank Paul Hamilton for my starting position. I pulled out to qualify right behind him and all I had to do is follow him and I had good run. Congrats to all the survivors.

Greds....summer series for the spec fords...there is a post at the main forum page.
Barely made it home in time for this one. Didn't have much practice on this track so just hoped for a half decent finish. Got into Haley on the backstretch after a few laps...Sorry bout that, didnt expect to close that quickly. I also got out of shape a couple laps later (running alone) and ripped the front off of the car so I had to pit extremely early so I packed it full of fuel and hoped that would finish out the race. With 20 minutes left it looked like I may be a little short on fuel so I tried to conserve for the remainder of the race and things worked out okay for a top 5.
Congrats to the top finishers.

Well I'm ashamed to even show my face here . I am currently working on updating the site and the points should be current by late tonight. I think I saw something on the chat box about someone needing the replay, is that still the case? Let me know and I post it for download.

what a track--another great choice! congrats to sandy on the overall win & gary on a very solid 2nd. had some wheel/grip problems initially in qually but ended up recovering from an aided startline spin and another contact two laps later with brents pesky to somehow be in the thick of it later on. unfortunately, the head miska and i got together about midrace when he closed up after some trouble. i could pull away a little on the straights but he'd be right on my tail in the tight bits--fun while it lasted! strung together a bunch of solid laps and had a smooth fuel only stop which put me into 4th. inherited 3rd then terry caught me up near the end from over 10 secs back. he was hauling the mail and we had a couple fun laps right at the end. yet again there was contact but terry gave the position back (waited for me to reenter the track) and ceded me the position--what a gentleman move! either way i would've been toast in the esses. hopefully, i am not breaking any league rules by taking the racing line away from a 'faster' car while in front when racing for position.. guess the question is a matter of how 'late' the leading car 'takes' the line and if that car stays in that position thru the corner/straight or 'swerves' offline to block.. i remember doing that one time too many to paul. that won't happen again good luck at charade--cyas at the finale greg #78 miska
