Another brutal but fun outting for the Team LSR / PORRSWerx Ford. Boring didn't even creep into my mind at Hilltop. I was busy both races all race long. The second race comes to mind with some great battles with Jim, Tom and Charlie. Charlie and I were going at it hard and ran out of real estate...lol. Both of us went sliding in opposite directions with him recovering sooner and keeping the spot.
Good fun all around

I've allways loved Spec racing I really screwed up in race one by not getting to grid in time and caused a few cars to wreck at the start because of it. Sorry to all involved, rookie mod mistake. Once I got going I managed to put the pedal to the metal and finish in P3. I qualified P2 behind Sandy for the second race and got a good start. I hounded Sandy for most of the first lap and managed to out brake him for P1 in the second to last corner I think. Then it was his turn to hound me for top spot. We had a great battle going but because I was driving a bit defensively James was able to catch up to us. James then started hounding Sandy which allowed me to put some space between myself and them. After that I just tried to run a clean race and I managed to finish the race with a couple of seconds in hand. I'm glad to be back racing in PORRS again, I didn't think I'd miss it that much but after attempting to run some P3 races online I realized what clean fun racing really is. DaveS ;D

Race 1 had some good battles as I worked my way up to finish P5 after spinning at the start. Race 2 was a bit of a nightmare as I spun 3 times...holy crap...but had a fun battle for the last couple of laps with Tom, he held on for P10 in front of me. A couple of the turns were very awkward for me and I just never got the handle on them. I made an adjustment to the brakes for Race 2 which really ended up screwing me over with all the spins.

i concur--never really got the hang of the brakes at hilltop & ended up overdriving myself to the back both times. well, it didn't help that i started the first run with 4laps of fuel. 2nd time out had some fun battles with nick and tom before self spinning etc. sucks i missed longbeach but next week should be better--can't get much worse

Haven't had a chance to look at the replays so I can't get too specific about who and when.....or even which race!! ;D I do know this much, though, I had a blast. I think that at one point or another I battled with everyone that raced - besides the guys that I can never catch anyway. I tapped Ced one time and spun him, sorry boss man, slowed so he could get the position back. Probably a good thing because someone else, maybe Dave Slee, came around the corner and drilled Ced.....Ced must have thought he was Ted (a bit of TPTCC humor). Sorry guys. It was really a fun evening of racing.

Ya that was me in race 1 that had a coming together with Ced. You two had tangled and I zigged when I should have zagged and caught Ced when he was spinning. The collision took off my front body work but I couldn't feel any handling problems with it gone, still had good speed down the straight DaveS

That was funny after that hit. I have noticed that you do suffer just a little with the nose gone, but with the Arse gone, it's a little different story. I decided not to pit and stick it out with no Butt, but it really limited how fast you could take a corner without spinning.
There is a vid of the opening laps at Long Beach up on the site and I have finished one for Hilltop. I should have it uploaded tonight when I get home. This one doesn't have any flash screens, just some good racing, about 105megs. This one is set to download and not stream because the small screen would not do justice to what is at the end. If you don't want to watch the full 6 minutes, I suggest you fast forward to the end when the cars are going in slow motion down the front straight and see what you were missing going by at 110mph. Nice work Mr. Track builder Dude. (Sorry Ladies) ;D

Yes it is fun to watch those replays and see all the action. Thanks B Here is the stripped down version of what I was talking about. For some reason my main file got corrupted. This one is only 15meg. 70.227.16.32/space/hslow.zip

LOL I must have been going too fast to see them during the race. :-)
Reminds me of the "waitress" at the Weasel Inn. That was a hoot, too.

I have to say Thanks to Ced for coming up with this, what a hoot. My only complaint is I am spending so much time on the road with work I have not been able to be a factor in the points.
This week I'll be near North Las Vegas and working in Mercury, NV (take a look at it on Google Earth)
Good luck to eveyone and as soon as I am at home or I upgrade my lap top to one that runs rFactor well and travel with a wheel I will be back on the track.

PS: Watch out for the Weasel Wench...shee is starting to shave a few more seconds off each lap.

Hi James,
It will show up in the next points update but I gave you last place points for the races you missed. I knew you were questionable about whether you'd make any while you were out of town and not because you elected to miss them.
