Well had high hopes for this one as I was running 1:55's in practice with Dave, Pat and JIm. Could never get a clean Q lap so that relegated me to the rear of the field both races. Race 2 I was determined to make my way up the field and on this track that's no small feat. Got locked into a great battle with Greg and Sandy and a few more laps we may have caught Terry whose buttocks were showing ;D

Managed to make the 2nd race by about 5 minutes. Didn't do as good as I thought qualifying, I was running low 1:52's online a few nights ago with the same setup and only managed a low 1:55 for P2 behind Sandy. James got one heck of a hole shot on Sandy and me and beat us both to T1. I tucked into P2 behind James for a few laps and then James broke to late in the tight right hander that leads up to the s/f line and I had to brake even harder to miss him and when doing so my wheel came right off my desk into my hands WOW that was scarry. I managed to make it up the hill and parked the car in the run off area in T1 so I could mount the wheel again. After getting it fixed I was a good 1/2 lap behind everyone. So I put my head down and drove like crazy to try to catch up. Had some good battles with people but only managed to make it back up to 5th I think. Great season everyone and congrat's to Sandy for winning the Championship. And last but not least a BIG THANK YOU to Ced for all his hard work keeping this league running. DaveS ;D

i agree with dave--amazing hole shot at the start, jb! launch control worked pretty good that time way to hang in there and steal one from the big boys. good qualifying for the #78 miska in both heats didn't translate into race results--driver andrea de crasheris had a one hell of a time trying to be consistent into t1 and thru the 'somewhere between 1st and 2nd gear' hairpins. 3 out of 4 times he'd nail the apex's, then have a brake lockup and pinball it. fell apart for good in race 2 when the monaco 'veteran' messed up t1 in front of sandy and ced (nice video)--sorry guys, he's been sacked. looking forward to the next season

It was a good last session of the spec Ford summer series, the first race was anyone's guess how I managed third, especially after spinning 360 while traveling at about 120 through the mini esses after the tunnel, and having a few prangs with the wall.
Second race was a totally different story, I guess everyone was up to speed with the circuit after the first race which bumped me down to 6th on the grid, and only lost one place to finish in 7th.
Can't wait for the next season to start, will have to tinker around with the two GT classes proposed.
And thanks to Ced for running the group and Jim for the race reports.
