1000 kilometers of the most grueling racetrack around. 5 hours of hard racing on a track where a lap takes over a minute and a half, part of it at 190 mph. www.thepits.us/br1000/Grazie... downloading track now... will learn track with TPTCC Mod till AD67 comes out.

For the guys entered. You need to visit the site. Make sure you are on the mailing list (Yahoo Group). Then email Jan for the password for the mod.
Thanks

I've done about the same lap time with the TPTCC Mod CB... and I believe the new mod is using TPTCC physics, so TPTCC times should reflect times to be expected.
I think from race write ups from previous years that I saw some 1:34s. Not sure what mod was used... presumably TPTCC.
Looks like we got some work to do!

starting to get more 39`s now. i got a question for the folks that have run the tptcc mod from last yr. i like a car that has some push to it. but this mod it seems as if the front tires buckle with too much understeer. is it me or.... it just feels weird. never encountered that feels in any mod before.

I now have the AD67 Mod up and running... ran some laps last night with the Ford... using the setup I was practicing with in the TPTCC Mod. Basically, it's the "fast" setup with the gearing redone. Haven't touched springs, shock, camber, bars, etc yet.
CB... I've been getting some push too in the slower corners as well as the longer sweepers. I tried to drop the spoiler angle (yeah, these cars didn't really have rear spoilers, but the MOD does... LOL) just for kicks, and it resulted in being too loose under power in the long sweepers while still pushing in the slower corners. Answer probably lies in getting good spring rate balance from front to rear... just like in GTP... but with more attention paid to limiting bottoming out (you can't bottom out the GTP cars).
I'll start getting serious about the Ford GT setup this weekend... try a practice race or two on the Bull Run server, too. Let's all keep in touch about sets. I know I'll need help since I've not raced TPTCC (or TPTCC-like) physics yet.

I'm about where you indicated you were, CB... 39s. Need to get the handling down... got top speed on the front straight of 194 MPH, but I push through T1 way too much. Keep in touch.

The other thing you need to strive for is consistancy through your run. Rob, for us I was thinking of a pit strategy somewhere in the 20 - 22 lap range. This is just after the left sides go yellow and would keep us fast rather than stretching it til lap 25 when you'd be much slower and on red tires. With the split of the race at 86 laps, you could pit every 21 laps and the last run would be 23 for your last pit stop and driver change. Oh I forgot to ask, can you hang with a 2 + hour stint (Like the big boys...lol)

Oh I forgot to ask, can you hang with a 2 + hour stint (Like the big boys...lol) Ced Understood... right now I'm just trying to learn how to drive the track and get a good base setup... made some progress tonight... ran a 38.4 quick lap. The pit stop strategy sounds good Ced. I'm pretty sure I can make two hours... I think we did 2 hour stints for the WOSEC 12-Hour at Sebring. I guess the pit stop strategy would then require 3 mid-stint pits stops then switch drivers on the 4th, right? Ced, I guess the other thing we have to think about is how many driver changes we want to do. We have to do 2 discos during the event, right? So, do we want to do a 2-hour and a 3-hour stint (with a disco and reconnect during the middle of the 3-hour), or a 2 hour, 2 hour, 1 hour strategy, or a driver change every 1.5 hours? Lemme know what you think. BTW... paints... I have the templates and can try them out if nobody else has started messing with them yet. Talk to y'all. Rob

Rob,
If you want to whip up some paints go for it. I haven't had time to even look at them. Ran some laps on the track last weekend. Was good to get back on the Bull. Don't remember lap times but was consistent. As far as driver switch. Was looking at Lap 86, I will do a self disco during my stint to simulate the last change.
My preference is once I get locked into a groove it's easier for me to 2 hours than run an 1.5, stop and come back for more, in this type of race.
If you run your pits like this, 21, 22, 22, 21, that would put you at lap 86 for our swap.

OK Ced,
Strategy works for me... I assume that I'll start and we'll switch at L86.
For paints... I'll play around a little bit with them tonight. Will do something traditional, I think, but using the colors of the PORRS WORX GTP cars.
Talk to yall!
