My strategy for this race was to take less fuel at the start, try to stretch out a good margin to the group behind me and then exit the pits after refueling ahead of the pack. It sounded good in my head at the time but unfortunately it didn’t work out that way . I didn’t take into account me screwing up a couple of times and loosing that hard earned gap I had built up. Once I was in the pits I sat there for over 50 seconds for some reason? I think I forgot to tell the crew not to fix the damage on the car. This and my mentioned screw ups allowed Sandy to get a very substantial lead on me once he had finished his pit stop and I just wasn’t able to gain any of that time back. Great race to all and congrat’s to Sandy and Bob for their podium finishes. DaveS ;D

Charlie that car was mine. But I was moving at the start. Last week I did a 180 on the start. This week I was a little more careful. But if you watch the replay from my cockpit you'll see I made a clean start. And as soon as it turned green I was moving. You probably have a clutch and was able to rocket off the start much faster than I. But in any case I'm sorry if I messed up your race. Kudos to Larry Hansen. We had a great race. And the weasel gave me a run for my money as well. In both cases we had some close episodes but both drivers avoided bumping and both held their lines. Passing lapped cars was difficult but they were very clean. In this league we have , without a doubt , the best and cleanest racers ever.

Red Weasel Racing Reports
Race Line: Bugatti
The Red Weasel racing Team came to the track a few day early, was it to sneak in a little extra practice, was it to walk the track over and over to really see the surface and learn the track like only walking can teach you, was it because the cheapest airfares we could find put in town way to early or was it simply the Weasels heard that there was free beer down at the local Pub? Well, if you chose any of those answers you would be right, and it looked pretty obvious as the Red Weasel Porsche RS Spyders crept out onto the track come race day. We thought Mr. Jerry Rig the Weasel Car Chief was out of character and is now being rated as infamous (that is “In Famous”, when you are more than just famous) and put a great setup under the cars only to quickly figure out that he left us hanging like a cattle rustler from a tree.
The cars were OK but we just didn’t have anything for the “Bob” he had that Red Rocket of his wind up tighter than county tax commissioner issuing refunds, and to top it off he drove a near flawless race. The Head Weasel on the other hand found the sweet spot there in the grass just in front of Pit In and did his best ballerina has he repeatedly put his right rear in the grass and took his little honey for a spin. The Weasel Wench was no better; Miss. Anita Spanking stated that if she scrapped the sponsors’ decals off the side of the car one more time she was bringing the tattoos and the calendar back to the team.
But in a nut shell, The Weasels had a good run; they both finished and tallied up points toward the Championship. And from the look of things it is shaping up to be very exciting. Lots of good fun racing out there and the Head weasel was pleased with his finish after making a handful of mistakes that really hampered his effort. The Wench was happy to complete the race and I believe she is still sore, not from her high number from OTEs but from her encounter with the sponsor rep.
See you next time Track Side
