The email has been sent, if you didn't recieve it email me at gtp@porrs.net. ___________________________________________
Welcome to Round 1 of the PORRS Endurance Challenge 2006
Everyone has made their way to Estoril and as the teams get settled, the drivers were taking in the town. The Team Principals were setting up their strategy for the 32 lap 45 minute event.
All of the cars were on display in the Paddock, all except Kevin Jay's because the paint got damaged in transit and we are waiting for the fab department to fly in and repaint the car.
There was a small issue we had to straighten out with the Portugal government as Rob, Dave and Bob found their way to Casino Estoril
They were so mesmerized by the women in the show they wouldn't leave and they were being questioned and almost missed the drivers meeting.
Everything is set for the PORRS Season Opener at Estoril.
Sunday January 29th Track: Estoril Track Opens Early Practice: 6:45 PM EST Qualifying at 7:30 PM EST Pit Wear: 2x Temperature: 78 Wind: 0 Laps: 32 (Aprox 45 min) IP In Email Password: In Email
I will post a small vid of one of the willow starts so you can see your cars. Everyone's car showed up except for Kevin Jay which I believe has not uploaded one yet.
If you have any question at all please ask.
Ced

Eh, I did what? Jeez, I don't remember the gambling or the show or anything like that. Hmmm... I remember having a couple interesting Portuguese drinkies, but that's it. Hey, why do I have a tatoo of a GTP car on my #$%?

How about server-replay? Will that be available? Or maybe it's not needed?? If you want to see all cars in replay from a GPL online-race, you'll need serverreplay, but I don't know if that's the case in GTP...
About to break the 1:30-barrier in training, but then I see times on rank is 1:28.... sigh. How are you guys doing?
Jan
Hm, a tattoo!? What a good idea! Wonder what the Jaguar would cost, but I guess you probably don't know?

And forgot to ask if you have a replay from our meeting at Willow Springs? Forgot to save my own and need it for some snapshots to the scrapbook...

Hey Jan, I've run low 29s on this track in a Sauber, but I've not run with our track ini file yet, so I don't really know where I'll be. When it's all said and done, I won't be suprised if the Mazdas run at the front on this track. If you can get into the high 29s for a race pace, you'll be good, I think. Now, of course, my race day all depends on whether my butt heals in time from my ink work. I can't sit for too long on the one side. BTW, where'd all my money go?

Now you mention the track.ini then I wonder why most of the ones from Ced dosn't contain any gtp-sections? Am I missing something here??
No further questions for now. Bear over with the noob...
Good luck with your butt! Hang on to it ;D

You guys are far and away from me, best one lap so far is 31.4 but most of the time in the 32 and above range.
Looks like I will be the backstoper for sure.
Starting to look like another league I don't qualify for.

Hmmm, well have to get that candid footage out we have of you Rob and one of the Portuguese Dancers..Maybe it was one of those drinks...lol.
Larry don't worry, I'm in the 1:30's too so we can have some fun together. But as always, it's endurance racing and you got to be there at the end.
Jan, I save all the replays from the race, except Willow, I only saved two. See the website for the film. If you want a copy of that replay I'll zip it for ya. . With GTP or any post N3 you don't need the server replay to see all cars as long as your con is good. Haven't a had a problem yet.
As far as a gtp section in the ini. Some tracks don't recognize it with my experience. If you change the default settings of the track, that works fine in most cases.
As far as the Casino you were in Rob...lol. I was gonna post the link in the DM but some of the pics were a little risque, so I decided not too. Just tried to do a twist on the DM's that Norm puts out....lol.

Thanks for your patience ;D Do please ship me the zip, thanks. You can use my mail or I have some webspace, where you can upload it. Good news we don't need serverreplay anymore. It would be nice, if replay could be "autosaved", but I haven't found anywhere in any .ini where it may be set. Will try to remember to save in the future, but who knows... hehe. Will go get the film now and then off to Estoril.
@larry: I'm with you. My laptimes are the same as yours. Only one lap - so far - below 31 and only with 0.11 sec. And I wouldn't care about those timed laps anyway. The race is an entirely different story... see you sunday!

Jan's correct. Race pace for most will be in the 30s and 31s I suspect. So, if you can get consistently to that time, you'll be in good shape I believe. Ced, I don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about... casinos and stuff... did I mention that my butt is sore? Expect the GPL DMs to have a Norm-esque feel to them as well. A little this, a little that...

Yeah, Now that I've started this it might be tough finding comedic material for every stop we have.
But I'm up for the challenged..lol.

Sure wish I knew the affinity for Estoril in these leagues. Believe it's the third time in the last two months and still can't getit.
Must be a curb fetish or something. I prefer soft warm curves over these @%#(+^& curbs myself. This and Kyalami.
Hope to never see the track again, of course I could just say see you next time I know.
