I just got wireless internet and it is supposed to be a big step up from dial up. But it is very inconsistent it seems. The isp dude has been out several times to check it out and he cant see any problem. He checked the conn this morning and says it is excellent. Yet I had problems getting omn the internet at all this morning and my wife (laptop) couldnt get on either.
When we first got it installed a few weeks ago I changed my ip to a static one. Would that make any difference? I just found out there is another provider and I have heard good things about them but hate to have to pay again to get installed etc.
I have been on the porrs server showing pings of 79 all the way up to 1800, so its weird. any help?
