Running the ILMS mod (Series Du Mans) has been a blast and the allowance of the LMP 1 drivers to have their pick of cars was good for the first season but a tad unrealistic. So what I would like to do for the 09-10 fall season is everyone pick a class and stay with it. You can run 2 cars, but they have to be in the same class. With a variation of tracks, this should make for some interesting racing with a LMP-2 class driver having a real shot at an overall win. What say you? ;D Sorry, it's Ren Faire Season  |

I'd go even farther -- pick ONE car and drive it all season. The biggest challenge then would be to balance the tracks between fast and slow so that both classes of cars would have a chance of success.

I like it too. It just might give some of our LMP2 drivers a chance at an occasional win. Paul's dea is great too.

Well that was my first idea (What Paul Said) but wasn't too sure about restricting it since we have had two choices. So that will be the plan. 1 car, all season. And yes Bob, there will be tracks that an LMP-2 can win the overall.

One thing we need to do is have several pre-season races so that people have a chance to try out various cars that they might drive. In fact, I'd suggest that instead of having one long race, each pre-season event should consist to two heats so that people could try different cars at the same track to compare the times.

Well (Paul) that's why you are the Race Director.
Good Idea, How about the first two weekends, two 20 minute races. So that will give everyone 4 shots at different cars to try. 1 track that suites LMP-2 and 1 for LMP-1.
