Hi all,
Very good race and should have been better contested by this writer. I really believe this was my race but just can't control the nerves and thus be consistant when on the top.
I was running consistant practice laps in the mid to low 18's with 17's rather pominent. A 1:17.31 that is in my records. Wana see my replay?
Nevertheless I want to again say Congratulations to Rusty and Dave for the old one two and thanks to Ced and Rob for the effort put into this project that we love.
Also a thanks for the courtious driving of everyone and am so glad to have you all out enjoying this, the greatest of all racing sims, Grand Prix Legends. There ain't no other.
Thursday I ran in the VOR league, just joined, Watkins Glen, and ran a consistantcy of 98.11% on track, 54 laps. Think I could do that here? He-- no but still had a great time. BTY I finished 5th at the Glen, that night.
Thanks again all,
Larry

Well I was just plain lucky tonight, I'm pretty sure I spun or screwed up every corner at this track, especially the esses on the back side during the race , it wasn't a pretty race for me but I'll take the P2 anyway . Congrat's to Larry who was smoken out there tonight ;D and to Rusty who continues to show us all what a great racer he is I totally agree with you about GPL Larry, it's the best race sim out there and I sure wish we had more peep's turning out to race with us. Cya all at Brands Hatch DaveS

I'm very glad everyone is enjoying themselves. I'm gladly doing this with Ced and enjoy running with all of you!
My race was good. Was able to run very consistent laps around the 1:20 mark. Certainly not real fast, but got me a P4.
Something weird happened, though. I had a fuel load in my setup to go a listed 38 laps, which I figured would get me to the 28 lap race distance. About 10 laps in, though, I ran out of fuel. Pulled into the pits, did a Shift-r, and continued... had enough fuel to get to the end from there.
So the question is, does GPL not fill the fuel level up to the desired level whenever you move from one session to another? That's the only thing I can think of as to why I ran out so early. Next race, I'll have to make sure to switch to an old set, then back to the race set before the start, just to make sure!
Congrats to Rusty, Dave, and Larry for you podium drives... you all were the class of the field tonight.
Points will be up shortly.
Rob

Rob,
GPL uses what ever setup you have assigned for each sessoin. If you don't have a setup assigned for the Race session in the setup page it will use the setup you were using for qualifying. That's what it sounds like happened with you. I put in enough fuel for 37 laps and I finished the race with enough fuel for one more lap, these BRM's are pigs for sure ;D

This issue of milage is supposed to be corrected when the revision part2 comes out around Easter. There will be a noticable difference in this 69 mod I understand and thus our present setups will probably need revising.
I ,along with Dave, "wish we had more peep's turning out to race with us."
I had trouble keeping up with two totaly different sims, GTP and GPL, thus pulled out of all GTP envolvment around the leagues. This GPL has such a realistic feel, though I have had no real experience, that the pull to drive these beasts is adictive. Just look at the time this sim has been out, sometime in April will be the 8th year anniversary I believe. The forum at Race Sim Central has a record hits of almost a half a million since it's inception. No other sim can boast such a record. That has to tell you something.
The difficulty of GPL is the prime reason for the following, according to many, thus the rewards for getting to a competetive level is so rewarding. I never could attain the level of my goals thus I still plug away, and enjoy.
Everyone should also be aware, that we have the benefit of having one of the best alltime drivers in our midst, Rusty Greer. The unselfish involment in creating the setups and issuing replays of the master, has been a tremendos aid to me. Can't imagine the time that is spent in producing this excellent material for six or seven different handling cars for each event.
I issue another Thanks to Rusty for all his effort.

I ,along with Dave, "wish we had more peep's turning out to race with us." I do as well. We had 15 people sign up, but several have not joined us for a race. Also, I've extended an invitation, through Rusty, for some other drivers that he races with to join us. Just letting you know, Rusty, that if those guys want to run some PORRS GPL races, they are more than welcome to drop in! Feel free to pass along the race announcements to them. Rob

Remember Guys,
This is as much your league as any of us running it. Feel free to pass the word around about it to drivers you think would fit in with our bunch.
