Man that race was brutal. Not from contact but just getting into a groove. Congrats to Terry for showing how it's done. Hopefully the G.T. race will be better for me ;D
Glad to see Tom finish and get top honors in LMP 1
I'm sure starting in a darker environment than Spa made it interesting.

When Paul couldn't make it and Sandy wasn't feeling good I had pretty high hopes for a decent finish. Brent no doubt would outrun me but I was pretty confident of being able to run 2nd since my practice times were about as good as anyone and I was always in race trim with a full tank of fuel. Unfortunately Manfield didn't have enough contrast between track and ground which made it difficult for me to see even in daylight. When the race ran at night I was in big trouble....missing brake points and corners but being able to find a couple of armcos without any problem. Fortunately the damage was not severe enough to need fixing but the off track excursions put me waaaaay behind. I spent most of the race just trying to keep it on the track and not damage the car any more. Shoot, for me it was a victory just not getting disco'd!

Big congrats to Terry for taking the overall win, and to my teammate Tom for grabbing the LMP1 trophy. congrats guys!!
I'm sorry I had to bow out so early. I've been suffering from vertigo since Friday. I could go a few laps ok, but the dizziness would get progressively worse lap after lap. Seemed best for me to drop out, not just for me but to avoid causing anyone else problems too.

Must be something in the Air, you are the 4th person I know in the last two months to get it. I've heard it's no picnic.

I had it over the summer -- tried to run a CMS race at Daytona and every time I got close to the wall, it was like my vision would distort and twist for a fraction of a second and then back. Very unpleasant. That lasted a week or so and then just went away -- no other symptoms at all.

Do enough internet searching and you can find out lots of good info.....the malady is called OIWJ. It's really not new, just becoming more prevalent in society...(O)ver (I)dulgence of (W)easel (J)uice and can happen to anyone.
