Yes that is what happened. So why did I get the second black flag when I completed my drive through penalty for the first one correctly?

Here's what the Fkeys do

You use the Space Bar in each area to change the options

F3 = Gas
F4 = Tires change
F5 = Tire Temps
F6 = Wedge
F7 = Track Bar
F8 = Grill Tape
F9 = Summary - press this before you pit to check to see what changes your going to make during your next pit stop. If you have damage to your car it will show a "Repair" at the bottom of the screen. This means that your pit crew will repair any damage your car has. If you don't want the damage repaired press the space bar while in F9 and your pit crew wont repair your damage.

Thanks for the info. The problem was I went to F9 thinking I could make all the changes their but found out I could only change repairs as you said. By the time I found this out I was already in the pits about ready to stop so it was basically too late to make the change. Now I know for next time.
