Was great to be back in Porrs. Sorry for anyone who hit me when I spun in T1. My family arrived back early on the pace lap and I had nieces and nephews tugging at me for the first few laps. Spun 3 times and gave up the ghost.

Darn Stephen,

Wondered what happened and you started off in the hunt.

Well it may have been a great race for me if what ever that problem was that it appears Harrison and I had. So I start the race off from the pits one lap down. It's an endurance race. Figured maybe just maybe I'd get a top 10 out of it. But none of you guys played along...ROFL.. ;D

Saw a few blown engines out there, no doubt the Saubers.

All in all I think it was a good get back together race. I will just make one comment here and that is remind everyone to be carefull when merging back on the track. I saw a couple of things that weren't what normally happens with PORRS drivers. So just a reminder.

Even after watching replay, I'm still not sure how I could end as pos. 4? Very little practice - for reasons not to be mentioned here - and the race only lasted to T1 on the very first lap, before I got in trouble. Could see it coming and had pulled to the inside, but the spinning car rolled backwards... Couldn't avoid slight contact, got in the grass and *had* to make a 180 degree spin. Sigh. Dead last - except for the guys starting from pit (hope you get things sorted).

Had some good laps with G04?? and Bob until I lost him to "the Crest", think it got a few ;D Got me too on lap 7, the car had a little slide, steered contra and then suddenly got a grip, that made me spin. Then Bruce came up and as we entered the Esses, I wasn't careful enough, as he cut me off. Had to tap his rear and spun him off-track. Terrible sorry for that, Bruce.

Pitted for fuel on lap 19 and was very annoyed with my crew insisting on giving me only 1½ can?! wth? I really would have preferred a full load and it did give me some worries with too many checks. But it turned out, that they were - just - right in the end.

Thanks for the race - nice track! Especially T1 and T2 were great fun!

I enjoyed last night together with all you...........I had good, hard and correct fights side by side with Kevin, Rob and Brent who were very fast.........After few laps I increase lightly my pace to avoid mistakes and be more consistent.............

Another fun PORRS race!!
Qualified P5, took it as easy as possible in T1 just missing Stephen (I think) during his spin. Got by Cthingyrell after a few corners to run P4. Got up to P2 when Rob and Fab went off and then took the lead after Kevin's misfortune. I managed to hold off Fab and Rob for a few laps but then Rob got past me and then Fab a lap later on lap 9.
I pitted on lap 21, Fab a lap later and he exited the pits just in front of me. Rob pitted from P1 a lap or two later and he came out 2 seconds behind me. So after some 25 laps, P1-3 (Fab, me, Rob) were all within 2 seconds of each other. Rob got by me pretty quickly but then had a mistake so he ended up losing 12-14 seconds.
As the laps wound down, my tyres were pretty hot and Fab put in some solid laps so I really didnt have a chance to catch him. Rob ran out of laps, no doubt that one or two more laps and he would have taken P2 from me.

I didnt really have the speed down the front stretch. May have to re-evaluate my 5th gear ratios. I could stay with or slightly gain ground in the infield but the straight really killed me.

Looking over the final standings it appears to have been a heck of a fight for P4-6 with the P6 (Cthingyrell) car just .044 seconds behind P5 (Nerell) at the line. Good Stuff!!

Too bad for Stephen and Kevin in this one. Both were fast.
Dave...hope you get everything worked out.

Good race....Sorry if I got in the way I was damaged and off most of the race. Someone tried to pass me on the grass going over the crest and put me in the wall requiring a tow truck....Anyway fun day look forward to Talladega...good to see all the new guys...

Much fun last night guys... good workout too! LOL!

I knew from my practice sessions that I would be fairly quick. Got a decent qual at P3 (with a PB lap as well). Stephen passed me on the start buy his spin in T1 gave it right back. Was able to keep up with Fab and Kevin reasonably well, although I looped it in the sweeping left hander when I got just on the binders behind Fab and the tail jumped out.

Kept going though, and got around Fab and Brent and led for about 10 laps midrace. Then I lost my rythem over the "crest" on two successive laps and gave the lead back. Kept trying to post quick laps before my pit stop to close the gap somewhat. It worked to some degree as I exited the pit right behind Brent and Fab. I got Brent on the next lap (with about 7 to go) and worked my way up to Fab. Shoulda exhibited more patience, but I got too hot into the left-hand sweeper and spun behind Fab AGAIN! Ugh!! Brent got back by, and I could close the gap back to Brent and Fab by the end.

Good result for me though with a P3. Kev, I didn't have anything for ya... feel bad that you lost that front tire early on. Thanks to everyone who gave room... I was in a hurry a lot last night but I don't think I cut anyone off.

Looking forward to Tally RC in two weeks.

That would be me. ;D Sorry about that, I didn't mean to punt you into the wall and cause all that damage but as you said you were off pace and at least a lap behind. Going into that corner I was expecting you to yield and let me through since we weren't racing for position and because of what happened the turn before, but you didn't so I had to take to the grass in an attempt to avoid contact which obviously didn't work.

About the previous corner, next time you have an agricultural excursion don't cut across the grass and come on the track on the racing line right at a corner, especially if their are cars who are at the time battling for position, you almost took both of us out right then and there. No worries we all make mistakes, just next time try to come back on track where you aren't so much in the way.

Speaking of mistakes I have to apologize to whoever was driving the #29. I'm really sorry, I thought I was the last car in the train since I wasn't allowed to qualify (I'm still not sure what happened there), I was just being a smart ass and was heating my tires up when everyone checked up, so I hit the brakes and got way sideways and hit you. I had no idea you were their otherwise I wouldn't have been doing such a stupid aggressive move and would have just stayed in line.

I realized I cut you off coming back on after going wide. My mistake. If you see the replay you will notice I yield to position cars and wait to get back on normally. I didn't see you...my mistake. CYA next time....no problems with me.

I was a little confused with that pit start...I only caught part of the chat about that...

Last thing...no grass passes it always wrecks someone...mistakes or not

It was a good race all in all, had a slight set back when I got collected by Hoosier in the start finish straight, just a racing incident mate don't worry about it think there was a warp happening at that point anyway, one minute you were high the next minute you appeared across me.

Not bad for a first drive for almost seven months.
