What does boost mapping do? What effects does it have on overall performance? It sounds like something that might increase engine performance but how much and at what cost (ie: more fuel, more engine wear. etc.)? Just curious, thanks for any info. Jeff

I had been working on this before my hiatus and now am back to square one cuz I forgot loots of stuff. Experiment with the boost and rpm relationship and watch for oil temps, fuel consumption, etc.

I ran two fairly consistant 10 lap fuel runs changing only the boost (1 to 2) and checking fuel mileage. The fuel difference was 1 = .55/lap, 2 = .60/lap. Times were a bit faster with the boost on 2 also. Probably use more fuel and go faster on 3. I'm wondering if it shortens engine life as well? Water and Oil temps higher maybe?

According to the README, there's a 10% greater chance of engine failure at maximum boost than minimum but I've never had a detonation. But I short-shift as a matter of routine. But as Brent said, watch the engine temps.
