Well the Mooby's Demon was looking forward to a good race after the haybale in the essess ruined race 2 of the funcup. We were doing fine until we came up on Susan. Nothing wrong on her part, just like a bad marriage whenever we are close on the track ;D. Managed to get going and was doing consistent lap times and then backed it into the wall and lost the wing so I had to pit. Sitting there watching everyone go by.
Guess We should be happy with a 9th considering....lol.

Hmm where should i start ?i had a decent setup, was working on it for 2 weeks.not fast but pretty consistant....didn;t use ...decided to go looser(big mistake ) i think i FINALLY got calibration problem fixed in my wheel (wish i'da done that before making set up )lol them stupid blue flags...one cost me a position as i let a leader go by ...greds passed me also (good move bro !) the other cost me a penalty ...i slowed but whoever it was wouldn't pass me in time (do we really need the blue flags ...i let the person pass but still got penalized it happend to me at WG cost me 4 spots cuz of penalty,...and that person i let pass also ! ) i really looked forward to this race .the track is a blast...ran in 5th for awhile ...then one thing after another happened to me oh well if i was THAT good i'd be doing it for a living right ? but i will offer 1 piece of advive ......DO NOT MAKE DRASTIC CHANGES TO SETUPS DAY OF RACE ! see ya at the next one

Qualified P4 and maintained that position for the first few laps, a big problem as I slid off the track at the end of the backstretch and tore the rear off the car. Didnt realize that I had done so much damage and on the way to the pits I spun a couple more times. Pit stop was 34 seconds to fix the damage and I was able to get back on track probably P9 or 10 and almost a lap behind the leader. Drove pretty hard for the last 20 laps and was able to make up positions, eventually working my way up to P3.

Well, the predictions about this being a tough race were absolutely dead on, huh? Given my poor driving, I'm very happy to limp out of Virginia with a P4. Ended up P3 in qualifying, and immediately boned up the start, spinning under acceleration into the infield. OK... last place. Got going again and made a couple positions early on, and finally thought I was settling down into a good pace. Little did I know that I would end up spinning the car on at least 3 other occasions, giving away positions with each mistake. I must apologize to everyone who gave me running room only to see me pass and then spin the car a corner or two later. With 5 minutes or so to go, I somehow found myself in P3 with the laps winding down. Then, I made my biggest mistake of the night, snapping the car loose at the end of the esses and ripping the front bodywork of the car off. No apparent engine damage, and the top speed still seemed to be there, but the car was much worse under braking and understeered like a mother. It was all I could do to salvage the P4 with P5 closing in at the end. Glad to have that one behind me, and looking forward to Hocky! Rob

Ok before I get started, eveyone take out the PORRS_S_19 files from your McLaren folder. That's my old McLaren and it will cause problems with my Proton. So for obvious reasons I am pretty happy with yesterdays race. After figuring out the problem above I managed to get in game with just a few minutes to spare before quailfying. During qualifying I got pole for the second time this season with the fastest time I have ever run at VIR. The race start was again problematic for me. For some reason I got stuck in warmup. I noticed their was a problem when it said I had something like two hours left in the session! So my applogies to everyone for causing a restart. I hope this will be the last time as I am dumping my cable connection and will be installing a super fast dsl (8 megs down, 1 meg up) line later this week. The restart went fine for me, I took the lead but coming out of the snake on cold tires Dave Slee got a better run on me and took the lead going up to the climbing esses. And then for some reason while in the roller coaster I got off on the grass and had to tip toe back on track which allowed B_Curtis by me. So after one lap I've gone from 1st to third. Things settled down for a while with the three of us all running similar times. Then on lap four or five B_Curtis slide off the road in the left hook which allowed by back by for 2nd. Dave then started to put in fastest laps and started to gap me. I was all set to settle into a pace and see if I could mount a charge at him later in the race when I went into Nascar corner and saw him smashed up against the wall, his race over. So into the lead I go. After that I noticed that Curtis had fallen behind and Bob Eardley was now in 2nd but he wasn't running the same pace as I so I backed off a bit to save my tires. I only had one more interesting moment when I spun off in the roller coaster which cost me about ten seconds. After that it was just managing my position and collecting the trophy afterwards. ;D

Started off okay, placed third on the grid and then messed up on lap four at the fast left hand turn after the snake section, lost the tail of the car and then busted the wing off the car and had to try and dig myself out of the bank, the race went downhill from there really. Lost the car going through the snake section and broke the front end body work off, also broke the suspension but still drove the car. I'm just glad I managed 8th after that...I was in a flustered mood at the time I should have just stayed calm and just focused on my drive.
