I wonder if real race car drivers go through "The what if" during a race. You have a good car. 3/4 through the first lap all is going according to plan and by your own fault find yourself from 6th to dead last and with damage...lol. After the damage I slowly crawled my way up to Miss Susan only to know that at the Super Secret Weasel base James had some diabolically fast setup under that car and sure enough I just couldn't pass her which made me loose it again and have more damage. Then I went into that phase of thinking while driving and seeing how this race was parallel my life...lol. TMI. And then I found myself head first in a house. Good Grief Charlie Brown.
I then put my nose down after getting the damaged fixed and could keep up with at least the 5th place cars, still running 1:41's.
So another oh well in the books.
Everyone have a great break and a Happy Holiday Season from me and PORRS.

I know how you feel Ced. I was late getting on due to a brain fade on my part. Kept putting the wrong IP number in. And I forgot to shutdown all the crap running in the background on my puter. So...........I was driving along doing quite well for me and suddenly the sim froze. I was fortunate not to crash when I came back but I had lost a whole lot of time. I was happy tonight. At least I wasn't getting blown away by everybody. I actually got up into seventh place just before the puter crash. Merry CHRISTmas and a a Happy New Year to all.

;D I won. I caused James some stress. I was watching Ced and Scotti who were looking like they might suck me into a first lap incident. I lost some momentum and that fast weasel setup put the head weasel right on me. The first thing I saw was him coming at me from the grass. I was coming over to set up for the hairpin and ran him into the dirt. To add insult to injury I got in the way again coming out of the pit. It was like karma cause when I went knocking on a farmhouse door as I was pulling back on the track I almost got him again. Sorry I was not really hunting you. Back chasing Scotti again and I could not catch him. I made up some ground when I guess he turned the boost down but mostly I just watched him pull away on the st rights. I had too much wing on to get up there. I was real surprised to see him pull over on like the last lap. I'll take it a win is a win. Congrats to Rick on winning his first P1 start and a Happy Holiday to all you racers. See you all next year.

Well I thought I had a good setup joining the practice, I was miles off, but with some messing about with the wings and gear ratios, I had a setup I was comfortable with.
I was able to place the car 10th in the grid I think, and got a good start of the line, and gained a couple of spots from there, eventually Capt. Dave and Rob passed by, then I messed up the exit of the last turn and lost some time but avoided the buildings, and then my cat decided that it would be a good time to jump up and change the bodywork, while I was chasing Greg, eventually I passed by on the fast downhill section, and made some distance before I made my stop for gas, and then I was on my own trying to chase down the 5th, 6th, and 7th, I almost caught up to Dave, and then finished 6th after Scott Leon had to splash and dash.
Finished on a good note after binning the last race I was at on the final lap, I feel like I redeemed a little dignity at this race.
Seemed like a lot of people were having a good run.

Got off to a poor start but got up to P1 after a few laps then spun coming off the final turn, didnt hit anything and continued on about 10 sec off the lead. Then a little later after making up 5-6 seconds....my wife decides to come stand behind me and apparently talk to me, I didnt hear her but seen her out of the corner of my eye...that was enough to make me spin into the grass and then I couldnt get out...end of race. Geesh.

Definately a "what if" race from my end. Found some decent pace right before qual and was able to get a front row starting spot, IIRC. It seemed that Rick, Brent, and I were all at about the same pace right from the get-go... oh, and Mark was right there too. I think Mark had an early off course, and then Brent, Rick and I all ran very close together for a number of laps. Brent had his spin off the final corner, and I guess Rick fell back a bit, but Pat was right there by this time as well. After Brent's spin, Pat and I ran in lock-step for a few laps, and Brent eventually caught us back up. The three of us barn-stormed around the track separated by no more than a second for a bunch of laps. Rick was close at hand too... jeez, I can't keep track of who was where. Pat and I then had a small coming together... racing incident... which put us both off course and promoted Rick to the lead. Rick led for several laps, then pitted right around the mid-race point. I took the lead back at this point, intending to get a few more laps in. At about the 35 or 38 minute mark or so, I'm on my in-lap and picked what turned out to be a bad place to check my Pit HUD. I edged the car off track and ultimately spun it. Car ended up teeter-tottering on a curb and I couldn't get it unlodged. Had to abandon the event at that point. Grats to Rick, and I take it Scott, for your wins in P1 and P2 respectively! Well done and well done to all finishers! See everyone after the Christmas break! Rob

Well, I had en extra week to practice since I do not run the Aussie v-8's. I had been planning to jump to P1 after the break, but had some time to fiddle with the cars and to come up with a set-up for this track, and in the end, unfortunately to Rob's misfortune and others I came away with the win I was running more D/F then the other guys as they had speed on me but I had better corner speed I think, Q'd 2nd which was great as I was able to get the hole shot and lead after the first turn, was passed by Brent, but then he had a small off, which led to a long 13+ lap run with Pat and Rob in a 3 car battle with me in the catbird seat waiting to see what would happen their cars tried to occupy the same spot on the track and both went off on either side hading the lead back to me, ;D thank you. It would have been a good battle all the way I believe, with pit stops playing a big part, but it did not happen, as Rob and Pat along with a few other P1 drivers, had a bit of bad luck. Congrats to Scott the dominator on another win! Thanks to ALL WHO GAVE ROOM Everyone have a Great and Safe Holiday season, and I will look for you all next year ...........Rick

i knew i would be slow but after initially mixing it up in traffic i could tell i got the got the setup completely wrong after bob gapped me on one short straight and gary spun then caught me easily.. had the speedbrakes out for the distance; also had back off on the boost to make the finish without a spash and go. should've practiced more, maybe next year! happy christmas and merry new year, greg

Brent, That's why I lock my door....lol. Those distractions are a killer...lol. First it was my Cats, then the Wife. So I just told her, from X to X I'm not available unless the house is on fire.
That works for me... ;D
