This has got to be my lucky day - at least with regards to sim racing. After whining about having to miss this race a sim racing miracle occurred. The wife's bowling tournament got over sooner than expected but I still thought it was going to be too late. Got home, unloaded bowling balls and headed straight for the computer. Holy crap, qualifying is going on! Miracles continued to fall into place and I managed a 3rd place qualifying run. Took a guess on how many laps we might get in and stuck enough fuel in it to (hopefully) run 25. Set it up for a pitstop "just in case". I hadn't even tried a race start until warm up when I stopped on the track and took off from a standstill. The car went straight so I hoped I could do the same thing when it counted. Race time!! Fortunately the start went good again and we were on our way. There was no catching Brent but I sure had a lot of fun trying. Everyone that I caught up to drove very well and it was never difficult to get by them.....thanks to everyone for that. The car stayed good enough for the race that I didn't have to make a pitstop and very happily finished 2nd - my best ever PORRS finish.....must be the paint job, Bob! Congrats to Brent on his win, to Dennis for his podium finish and to everyone for their good driving.

Well this definitely was a Saleen track. Got the pole and off to a good start. Never had many problems throughout the run except with 15 minutes left I spun coming out of the first chicane which cut my lead down to about 3 seconds. I couldnt shake Tom for the entire race as he was never more than 8 seconds behind and the gap was usually 2-4 seconds so no room for error. Sorry about the bump Dennis,, I guess neither of us knew which way to go.
Looking forward to Portland, quite different than Monza.
