Ended before it started. And I can't blame the server on this. I did check to make sure everyone else was still there. So I decided to try out one of those new fangled plugins. That give you the cool looking F1 stats and displays....Wrong answer. I had toned down everything I wanted to display and even though it was a small lag between screens, it was managable. Then when we went to warmup my screen blinked. I went Rut Roo but all was fine. Then when it switched over to race, it was like the plugin had reset it self and everything was on and it didn't sync with the race start and Kablamo...there I went. Hope everyone had a good race. This was one of those equalizer tracks where a fast P2 could be interesting.

Was leading comfortably when the video went haywire. I could still hear the game but i couldn't see anything. Never had that happen before. I hope I didn't mess anyone else up. Not only could i not see but I couldn't exit the game either. Took me a while to get that sorted out. Sorry. Hope everyone else's race was event free. SandyR

I'm gonna retrieve this server from the colo tomorrow because to many strange things are happening that didn't before. Will diag and if a good enough group is available to test next Sunday (would be appreciated) we can put this to rest.

The Quixotic P2 team turned in a steady fast error free run for a win. After a good start I got in with the P1s and stayed out of trouble. The race got strung out and I did not see much action till Terry had a few offs and had to pass me a couple times. The P2 team had a much more interesting night. I came up on Rick parked on the curb. I didn't have names on so all I thought was car inside go wide . Right after that I see Rick say somebody hit me. Thank you James that was a race saving bump. Hope you did not get damage. The come back was fun to watch on replay. Daytona is next Whoo Hoo. I get to watch the real race then race it. I'll be so popular with the wife. See y'all next week for the test.

Red Weasel Racing
Well, I'm still all pissy...
Tried to just let it go, but it is just more of the same. I thought we had something to bring to the track tonight but it just didn't pan out. I got way loose on the start and bunched up the mid pack then it looked like all hell broke out back there.
I was able to collect what little I had of my dignity and catch the group and put pressure on to compete for a P2 top spot, but I was counting my trophies before the checkers, when just on the other side of T1 on lap 2 my race ended. I will have to see the replay but from what I can tell I may have been t-boned off the track (from the preferred line) from someone returning from an OTE. I can say there was a really loud thwack and I was off and spinning...yea, loads of fun this.
Miss Susan didn't fare much better, still shanked from the start from being ejected into the wall and prevailed more damage than she was willing to try to drive for an hour, she ended up climbing out of her car when she couldn't even navigate around my car after it too was trying to discourage me to continue. So the Red Weasels have yet another disappointing outing, makes us think about why we even bother…

First off, sorry to everyone that I spun in front of during the race, especially Dale. I think I passed him at least 3 times only to spin at the next corner.
Complete bonehead driving on my part for the entire race, I just kept trying to push but when the Audi kicks, it kicks hard. In practice I was semi-keeping it under control but in the race it seemed that I didn't have the rear grip level that I had in practice. In practice I would have the occasional spin, but in the race it was lap after lap of spins. I'm not sure if I screwed up my setup or loaded the wrong one, but something was different. Just after my pit stop I spun it hard into a wall...figured it was time to just park it. At least the game didn't CTD during the race.
Anyway, Congrats to the winners! Well done everyone.

Well I think the new engine provided by Mazda is promising, qualified 8th or 9th on the grid, made a good start off the light, was running 7th (2nd in class I think) and then lap two or three I got disconnected, I was having fun up to that point.
Oh well, there's plenty more races for the Mazda to show it's stuff.

I got disco'd right after the finish line......better timing than I could have hoped for.
The Audi seems to (currently) be somewhere between the Audis/Peugeots and the P2s in speed capability. Only the misfortunes of others and relatively good consistency got me to the podium. Have to keep working on this....
Thanks as always to the P2s, and particularly Scott R----you were quick!

First, it was great racing with the old gang again! Rick, Scott, Scotti , the Captain, and the others, much fun. Scotti you have really picked up your racing prowess! I felt good about my race, getting myself into 2nd place in P2 after Scotti's spin (whew, that was close, I almost creamed him, just lucky to not hit him).
BUT, I have not done a pit stop in quite a while. I had damage from early fender banging but the car felt fine. So when I went to pit I forgot to NOT fix damage! AARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH when I went in I was 2nd in P2 and 4th overall. Came out 8th overall and 3rd or 4th in P2. DANG ! I spent 53 seconds in the pit getting the damage fixed. Lesson learned...
So I finished I think 6th overall and 3rd in P2, behind Scotti and Scott. Congrats to the winner and to Scott Richards in P2, well done. I look forward to the next race, and thanks again to Ced for his patience with me and also those who helped me get going in Ced's great league.
