Well it was all going well, I had a good start off the line, was in third and sorry for the tap Scott, the car wanted to get loose on the exit of the slow second left handed, I was going slow to let you past, I had to pick up the pace again as Cpt Dave blew past and James was doing the same.
I was holding third barely as Scott was on the move, after I pitted and got some new tyres on the front, and a full tank I was out and chasing who I think was Scott in third now, then my system decided the graphics driver was not going to co-operate, so that was the end of my blinding run in fourth.
Hope everyone had a good race, glad the new Mazda could show it's stuff finally.
Cya at the next one hopefully.

I have to apologize to all for making you wait so long for me to get my ducks in a row. I also spun in front of the whole field and presented a rolling chicane. Most got by all right but I got poor old Nick. Sorry about that Nick. Used too much wing in my setup and not enough fuel. Even after adding a few gallons it wasn't enough. Had to make three pit stops. Gas and a lot banging and beating by my pit crew trying to repair all my damage. Anyway, thanks again and hope I didn't ruin anyone's race.

Red Weasel Racing Reports
Race Line: Cougar Pass
As the sun starts to set over the hidden valley Cougar Pass is nestled in, we reflect back on the race. Mr. Jerry Rig the now famous Crew Chief to the Red Weasels put a stable setup under our pair of unlikely heroes. Granted, the race setup was no were near the full speed available in the Weasel Qualifying set up, but none the less the Weasels marshaled off to the Starting Grid knowing full well that the car beneath them was capable of doing the job. This was evident as the races opening laps as the Head Weasel rocked forward thru the field and after a few drivers pushed too hard into the hair pins was running a comfortable P3 and the Weasel Wench had settled into P8 just as the field was stretching out and ready to start driving to the front.
Calamity struck Head Weasel as he came rocketing around T5, you know the right hander that heads up the hill to the first hairpin. And with a blink of an eye Head Weasel went wide left dropping the left rear into the soft mushy loom that surrounds the track and the result was being sent across track and into the ex-spouse retainer (unforgiving). With a “WHAM!” and a “THAWK!” the number 92 Weasel Powered Porsche Spyder had become a nose less wreck slow and unstable all the way back to the pits. Pitting early, a repaired car with new shoes and half a stone (7 pounds) of body tape, Head Weasel would tramps back onto the course to play catch up for the rest of the race.
Weasel Wench held the P8 spot for most of her race clean and smooth until shortly after the 30 minute warning flashed negotiating the first chicane the number 93 Weasel went spinning for a loop and allowed Bob to zip past her to claim the spot. Weasel Wench pitted and set for the last handful of laps set off the run the boys down.
Very near the end she was sent on a flashback to the early college years, FLASHING LIGHTS, FLASHING LIGHTS, the only things missing were a mirrored ball, a strawberry daiquiri, and a brass pole to swing on. A little late race aggressive driving causing a spin and OTE, luckily the Weasel didn’t bounce off the ex-spouse, and was able to rejoin only to have to shake the grass out of her openings and head on in to cross the line for a P10 overall finish.
Head Weasel was having a great battle with Bob as he came out of the Pits late in the race, roaring off swapping P9 a few times, and as the dreaded 10 minute warning flashed across the screen the “Wreck-a-Weasel BOT” went active and for no apparent reason Head Weasel lost the rear-end going into the second hairpin and being on the blind side of the curve collected Bob on his way through. Lucky for both of us it was a glancing blow and as the two Porsche’s scraped sides it would be the MOMO Porsche of Old-N-Slo that would barely make it out of the Weasel’s talon grasp… We both rejoined damaged and heartbroken but there were a few minutes to go. With the sounds trailing off and the gnashing of teeth all but done, Head Weasel brings the number 92 Porsche Spyder across the line in P8 overall.

Disappointing is all I can say . After viewing the replay it was confirmed that I had indeed snatched defeat from the jaws of victory . I had let the Team down when they provided me with a Great ride. Congrats Rob on the Win and in your pit strategy, it almost cost you but a quick throttle foot was my undoing . Congrats to Scotti L. for the win in P2. Thank you to ALL who gave room at this Magnificent track. Thanks James for bringing us here the crew and I certainly enjoyed our time here. We will have to regroup and rethink our pit strategy for the next one. Be safe all, and cya on track....................Rick p.s. I don't know Rob, you looked like once I got to ya, you put the peddle down a little more. Would have been fun, that's for sure ;D

Lots of good racing out there tonight, I wonder if anyone got thru without a mistake! or five lol!
I was up pretty good in the standings, 6th at one point, ahead of Scotti, Scott, and others. But a series of mistakes on my part plus some superlative driving by the above two combined for my finishing fourth in class, a tick behind the Captain, who I was hounding unmercifully for the last couple of laps.
The Distaff Red Weasellette got caught between a rock and a P2 car as the Captain was trying desperately to get around her given that I was on his buttissimo at the time. Sometimes s**t happens... Congrats to Rob for the win, and a super quick Scotti for the P2 win. See you down the road. Norm

That's maybe the second time I have messed around in the pits too long and missed the start of the race. I was really fast in practice but I could not put a complete lap together in Q. Then I give everyone a half lap head start. I drove pretty well after that and benifited from other peoples mistakes and was lucky to get 5th 2nd in class. Good run Scott L/G.

Fun race!
Didn't know how it was going to turn out for me as I didn't get much pre-race practicing in due to family stuff happening over the weekend (Happy 4th Birthday Ian!!). Nonetheless, I took the trusty Pug to the track to see how it would go.
It seemed to go pretty good right off the bat, running a solid 2nd in qual about a half second off Rick.
Race start was good, although I admit I was confused for a second of two with the grid setup near T2. No matter, got off the line good and settled in to chase Rick. We had a good fight going until I half spun the car coming out of the second hairpin on L2. That cost me about 5 seconds, and Rick's pace extended his lead to about 10 seconds as we neared the pit stop cycle.
Rick pitted first and came out about 45 seconds behind me as I continued to circulate. I pitted with about 22 minutes to go, and was able to rejoin while keeping the race lead and about a 12 second cushion. That cushion stayed stable for a couple laps, then started to shorten. A big chunck came out of it when I had a big pucker moment with about 10 minutes to go existing the downhill kink. I managed to avoid hitting anything, but the lead dropped to about 6 seconds before I got it straightened out. Rick cut it down to 4 seconds with about 5 minutes to go, and I began to think I was going to be in trouble. Then, suprise, Rick half spun exiting T2, which gave me back the 10 second cushion, which I maintained to the finish.
Very happy with the win, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that Rick probably would've got me had he not spun. Nice job everyone, and we'll see you all in a couple weeks!

Wow! finally won a class event! , got that monkey off my back...had a great race, Gary was giving me a run for the money tho til he disappeared into the ether. Was wondering what happened to ScottR, he's usually way up front or all over me like a cheap suit I'll take the win tho. Gary, the tap was unintentional I know, just glad to get the tapping and slapping outta the way early in the race Had a fun night! see you all again in 2 weeks.

(Playing Taps) The Aston will be put to rest. It is just so demoralizing when you are driving you butt off and can hang in the corners and just get smoked once you hit the straight. Good bye Fair Aston. ;D
Man watching the replay the P2's look like there was one heck of a scrap going on. Rick had the lead early and Rob wasn't going to let him go.
Congrats to Rob on P1 and WAY TO GO SCOTT LEON for his for PORRS Victory.

Well, the new MOMO Peugeot proved race-worthy; the driver didn't. I managed to fail to get a decent lap in in Qualifying, and was completely thrown by the start not being at the S/F line, so spun in that 1st corner. Not too long thereafter I managed to hop the kerbs in the chicane and wrote off the nose and steering....pit stop after another crash on the way back to the pits. Repairs, and only a few errors after that, but already too far back to really do anything. My 4th overall was simply the speed of the car; 2 stops wasn't a very good strategy!
Loved the track; consistently challenging. Looking forward to more races in this car; if I can drive it better it could be fun!

Cough Cough...Choking on Diesel....lol. Yes Rob, I will be jumping in the LSR R10 that I painted for Pat. But he likes the Zytek TDI so that freed up the car.
I wondered what happened to ya Terry when I saw you in my rear view. Saw you and Mark back there so I thought there was some contact or something. Never thought you were back there because of Q. The Watkins Historical should be a blast. For those of us GPL'rs, you remember this layout. You won't have time to rest on this sucker...lol.
