Red Weasel Racing
The Crash and Damage Die was cast and it came up Weasel...
Have I mentioned how much I dislike this MOD?
And this track, it could be a great little track, but the Force Feed Back is missing ...
And to top it off.... yea, I have more to complain about.. with about 30 seconds to go I get DISCO'ed...
Now you have to excuse me I have a Weasel to beat, Miss Susan bailed on the race because of a headache! Something about not having her frontend attached to her car.
James
PS, on the start... Nick, you cut the track for an advantage (passing a car on track) you should have done a drive trough for that.

Another good night for the Quixotic Green machines. Scotti got the jump at the start and it was a long chase before a misstep caught him out enough for me to get by. The track was tricky and hard to pass but this goup is great about making room for passing. I had no trouble at all passing lapped cars. Scotti whould just not stay passed though. His pit crew got him out ahead of me. Partly because I had to stop before the pit and turn dammage off. We had a great chase until The other Scott spun in the tricky esses and let me get enough lead to stay away untill the finish. Congrats to Sandy who was in another zip code the whole race and to Rick who got the second podium step. Untill the next Race keep the dirty side down.

Start of the race went okay, for some reason the left lane of traffic took a while to go, sorry whoever I clipped, as I thought we were underway, and then stopped suddenly again.
Car setup was great for the first half, was pulling the occasional 1.46, and was up in the fight for 7th-9th I think, then once I pitted, and lost a bunch of tame being safe with the fuel, and getting some new tyres, I lost my rhythm with the track, until the last 12 minutes or so, had some major screw ups that didn't really damage the car as much as waste 10-20 seconds, at that point I lost all hope of keeping up with the pack fighting for 7th.
Not a bad outcome for a race I was really outclassed on, not sure if it was a lack of a decent setup, or didn't find a good line to start with, but when I showed up to the track I was 4 seconds off the pace of the mid pack, and almost 7 seconds from the blitz setup Scott had.

Wow. What a race I had with the Capt and Norm. PORRS racing at it's best. And what a great race track. I was so close to catching Dale but I was afraid to make a desperate move that might take him out. So I meekly followed him nose to tail across the finish line. I finally had a race that my computer didn't freeze up. Although I need to talk to my MOMO mechanics. In the heat of the battle my shifter started balking again. Had problems on downshifting. A recurring problem lately. Do you know how much it hurts to dive into a corner in hot pursuit of another car and not be able to get into a lower gear ? Sure affects the exit speed. But that was no excuse. I just need to break down and get a new wheel. Any ideas for a limited budget ? I am going to watch the replay today. I think it will be very entertaining. Sorry, I was so caught up in my race that I didn't have time to congratulate Sandy "old smokey" Robinson for his victory. Isn't that the Vol coon dog's name ? And most importantly, I want to thank everyone for such clean racing. I wish I could make the next race but family problems prevent this so, Lord willing, I'll see you all at LeMans.

Oh, and thank you Paul for being a guest MOMO driver. It was so good to see him again.

Never really did get the hang of Corridorium, but had fun nonetheless.
Qualified P5 overall with a lap in the 23s. Bogged a little on the start, but settled in behind Scott and started trying to pound out laps. Got clear of Scott in a couple laps, but ended up running by myself for a bunch of laps since I couldn't seem to push hard enough to close on the Top 3 guys.
Pit stop was not good. I had a good strategy, but needed to adjust a couple things before stopping. Couldn't really do it on track as I was afraid to take hands off the wheel. So, my final adjustments were right before I hit the pit stall. Unfortunately, I ended up telling the crew to put no fuel in the car. WTF?!?! Me dum bass! Fortunately, I had a lap of fuel left, ran another lap, and repitted to add fuel. Unfortunately, by this time, Terry had gotten by me and we settled in with a 10+ second gap between us with 15 minutes to go.
Surprisingly, the gap started going down slowly, then more rapidly as the last 5 minutes came. The last two laps were ultimate white knucklers with my attempt to get to the last podium spot. Was over driving the car pretty badly, which didn't help the tires, but I was thinking Terry didn't have much left either. He ended up keeping third by something like 0.5 seconds.
Was sore for a few hours after this one... LOL! No breaks at all!
See everyone for the next round!

Wow, I drove one hell of a horrible race last night. I hope my multitude of spins didn't cause anyone else any issues. Congrats to the winners and well done to all those who survived to the end.
I never found a setup yesterday that I was comfortable with. I made some big changes over time and no matter the changes I made it seemed to have no effect on the overall performance of the car. It was especially horrible in the slow corners, the car would go from understeer to snap oversteer....not a fun combination. I was also quite slow in the first corner complex and the fast chicane mid track. In the first corner complex I was 10 mph slower than Sandy and in the next chicane, I was 20 mph slower. Sandy was on a different planet last night, well done!
The race ended for me with an expired engine after lighting up the tires after a spin. Oh well, it seems that it's either spin or win for me. See ya in Surfers.

Man, Sandy was flat frickin flying, Congrats on the Win. I thought 21's were fast, but to do 20's with a race pace of 22's was Great!! I am just glad you didn't lap me Scott "terminator" Richards had another dominating drive, with Scotti L close. Thanks to All DRIVERS ;D for allowing passing room on this tight track......................
