;D It was a long and winding road and when it got dark. It got real dark. Fun race we had so long between races I practiced way too much. It was a trade off between handling and speed so I went with speed. Lay the wings down close up all the vents and turn up the boost. I got a great start and got out into that gap between the P1s and P2's and ran by myself much of the night I could even look around at the lights and sunset. Leadsled came back and saw me a couple times Rob came by early and motored off. Terry V had the worst race I have seen him have. I saw the pole monster get him at the last turn then I think he had to do a whole lap nose less. Terrible luck. I had a lot of fun this season. Thanks to Ced and all who put time and effort into making this a great laid back place to race. Bob my thoughts are with you. I hope you find peace after your loss. I look forward to seeing you and the rest of this bunch o racers next season.

Great race all.
I forgot how dark the back straight is here. For the life of me I couldn't get anything consistent going in Q. So with said had to start last. So I have to say 4th (And on the lead lap) is a win for me....lol. Had The Sled chasing me down at the end. The big battle here was like Scott said. Speed vs Handling. I wanted a good consistent car. But I was getting killed by Terry and Rob on the straight. There were just some places I was maybe a little too cautious since I don't run with T.C.
Thanks to everyone for a great season. We'll have to throw some more nighties in for the next endurance season.

Like Scott said, I want to thank Ced and everyone involved, that seemed to make this thing work.I had nothing for Mark and Rob. I had planned and practiced with making this a 2 stop race, and just could not change last minute. Mark and Rob both had a Great setup and pit stratagy, I am just glad to finnish. Thanks again for having us here. Cya on track......................
p.s. Happy B-day Mark, Hope it was a Good one!!!!!

Hi all---
Sorry to anybody who I caused any problems with my problems.
I had my usual dreadful start, but at least my race was awful......
As ScottR observed, this was probably my worst race ever; I can't even blame anyone else-----all my own doing! Running much of the race with damaged bodywork was a bit of a problem, esp. on lthe Mulsanne. I was occasionally able to pick up a tow, mostly when the leaders lapped me.
I must say I'm looking forward to getting away from the T-Diesels, at least for a while :-)
Thanks to Ced and James, and to everyone else for a really good season. Hope I can do better next time!
Terry V.

Had a great race, mostly, I thought I was a little slow but I motored on and found my way in the dark.
I would like to point out two highlights from the race report….I ranked highest for consistency and if you look at the incident report…I’m not listed.
Ended up with the bottom step of the podium and happy with it. Just wish the Red Weasels were more of a challenge.
We had a great season and want to thank everyone for making the PORRS races some of the most fun we have had all year.

Hey James, I think we must have traded places for Lemons. Your description of the race sounded a lot like my typical race. Not the fastest car, but no incidents and a 3rd place finish. My night got off to a bad start as soon as q started. I never finished a lap and started from last place. On top of that I still wasn't sold an my race strategy. I had practiced a 2 stop race and then switched to a 1 stop race. I had a pretty fast setup second only to Scott R. Scott clued me in on what he was going to do and I tried it but thought the better of it after a few slippery laps with his Zero down force setup on med tires. So from the back of the race my race plan was to bide my time and pass the people i could and race the track the rest of the race. I lost my patience and it cost me. I missed my braking point after going through the right hander, before Indianapolis, flat out in 6th (I was trying to shake James at that point). I went straight off the track hit hard and my front wing came off along with my pit strategy. After that the crew could never get the straight line speed back. I was 4 mph slower down mulsanne. On the bright side I was able to put in a 3:26.250 with a broken car and left to ponder what might have been if I had qualified with a decent lap and run the race I had planned out.To add insult to injury I lost the car on the last lap and got high sided on the curbing and almost gave up 4th. In closing I would like thank Ced and James for their hard work. I had a great time and feel pretty good with 3rd in class and 8th overall for the 2011 season.

Race wore my butt out ;D, Had fun anyway, had the handling setup so the speed on Mulsanne was atrocious, surprised I didn't get run over. Had nothing for ScottR, he was off and gone, never saw him again after Mulsanne the first time thru. Was by myself most of the race, only time I saw anyone was when they were overtaking me....jeeez. The crew chief has been fired and I'm lookin for a new one for next season Maybe I'll do better.....
