Well, I was not as ready as I wanted to be I guess. 2 mistakes was all it took. The first I might have been able to salvage, the second was race ending. Sorry for whoever got caught up in my miscue. .....

This track was an accident looking for a place to happen to me. I avoided one pushed through another then Susan and I guessed wrong about what the other was going to do. I changed to the Audi as it would let me drive w/o aids, well a touch of tc but these cars have tc I think. So I was feeling pretty good breaking the minute mark till Mark shows up with a .56. I was good to see Mr Urban. At least I saw him for a minute at the start and again when he lapped the field. My crashes in the opening laps left me with a car that pulled left for most of the hour. By the time I pitted I took no tires and did not fix the pull as I was used to it by then. I still had nothing for The Capt or Mark. Audi grunt made a difference on this track and I think I'll stay with it unless We do Monza or Daytona.

First off, It was good see Mark back and an impressive win to boot.I agree Scott the street courses require a lot of concentration and patience. There is always the possibility of that mayhem guy, from the insurance commercials, looking to ruin your race. I had nothing for the Audi's. I was amazed to get the Aston-Martin below 60 sec on qualifying. I new I couldn't race that fast so I settled into my race pace and let the race unfold. I had a lot of fender benders myself and finished with the proverbial yellow halo around the car. As for your Race, I new you were having trouble with your steering as your car drove like a drunken sailor on his way back to the ship. Hopefully San Jose will be more forgiving? Also I would like to thank all the p-2 class for they were very generous to me when I came up on them on the track. Traffic was good. I would just like to say that in those situations I will not dive bomb the p-2 cars to pass. If it is a bad time to pass on the track just run your line and I will get by on the next straight or where there is plenty of room for both cars side by side. Don't ruin your race to let someone by. If you are in a fight with another car for position ,don't worry about the p-1's it up to them to pass safely.

I really love this track. The only thing missing would be tooling around in an open wheeler. I was good on the mistake free race until I had a brain fart with about 10 minutes to go while catching James for position. I had to pit for front end damage as I saw the Red Weasel Caddy drive off in the distance...lol. Yes it was good to see the Urb back and a good performance. Congrats on the Win and James for the P2 top spot. The Audi was the car to beat here. For a "won't say the name cause I respect them too much" track it was weird to see some anomaly's. In the replay I'll post on the website you'll see Susan's car get launched across the track for no apparent reason. Well there was a reason which I was surprised to find out.

Yea Ced, I know what you mean. Every time I see some kind of hay bale thing on the side of the track I know to avoid it. there were some on the tight corners and some along the wall. they almost grab you if you are right up against the wall.

Red Weasel Racing Reports
Race Line: Toronto
Well it is humbling to come back after being away again and capturing a class top spot and on such a technical track.
Miss Susan had a few issues; you can see one example of them in Ced’s Video… Loads of fun and enjoyed to pace and white knuckle racing that being walled in creates. My car was immaculate until my screw up with like 1 minute to go as the car spun out from under me in the last bit of corners before the front straight. But still able to get it pointed in the right direction and finish with some style left after such an embarrassing moment.
Yes it was a tight track and passing was premium, lots of give and take and it made it worth while as we rocketed down the concrete ravines blindlessly.
The Caddy’s were running pretty good here, but we were also running max DF so that may have helped a bit.
See you on the track next time.
James
