Congrats Mark on the Win and the pit strategy. Scott and I had talked about it being too close to be a 1 pit stop race, and we were correct. To my demise I did not put enough fuel in on my splash and dash and had to pit an extra time, while trying to adjust the pit stop duties with a twitchy car was not fun. It stayed darker longer then I thought it would, I kept waiting for the sunrise, as that chicane entrance was a bit dodgy in the dark. All in all it was fun to get back to racing and looking forward to the rest of the season. Thank you to All drivers that gave as much room as they could with passing. Thanks Ced, cya on track.............

Speaking of passing.....I hope I wasn't too much of a problem, I used the virtual mirrors and couldn't tell when someone was behind me, especially when it was dark.

Speaking of passing.....I hope I wasn't too much of a problem, I used the virtual mirrors and couldn't tell when someone was behind me, especially when it was dark. Haha, me too. I just wanted to finish, first time in these cars for more than 20 minutes at a shot. With the wonky mirrors (sounds like Ced may be working on a fix) I just let by anyone that got up to me. I couldn't get any kind of distance relation in the mirrors, and didn't want to be trying to figure out where & how far behind me a car was when I needed to be paying attention to what the hell I was barreling into at 200+ mph. Spent half hour here the night before the race building a base set that would keep the car from dragging...then forgot to save it. Then had issues getting connected (was trying to enter by the IP...not aware until the last minute that it was in the multiplayer list) which left me with 5 minutes to get the car so it wasn't a sparkler show going around the speedway portion of the track. I was able to make it with one stop...but that was due to not even being aware I could turn up the wick...so I ended up running around on stock boost. Probably ended up for the better as I got a bit slower once the track went into full dark. I stayed out as long as I could hoping it would start getting light by the time I left the pits. Oh well. Had a good time, I'll take a top 10 for the first outing. Better than I was expecting, having very little time in prototypes. Most of my sim racing is in GT & Touring Cars...along with a side of Historix.

Well I must say if I had to retire from a race on a mechanical (Blew Up), this one was sure fun to watch. Wish I had a mic to add commentary. Pat and I were on the phone watching the race and commenting on the battles, how the pit strategies unfolded, how I screwed up the time scale (Sorry bout that ), The last lap pits by the Q Boys and Mark planning it perfectly. Sandy getting the most out of the Chevy and Chris putting in a good show in his first race with us. This should be a great season.
