This track was a real challenge. I got so I could turn some fast laps but trying to do it over 70 times was beyond me. I got tangled up with Harrison trying to pass in a bad place. Pretty much all passing spots were bad and the corners were blind. It was a good change of pace from the big openness of Daytona and Sebring but like I said "challenging".

Sorry I missed the race. Got tied up helping a friend with a timing belt job that was supposed to have finished on Saturday...ended up running through Sunday afternoon.

No apology necessary, Rick.....hell, I don't even know what happened (haven't looked at the replay) But, no matter what I was the one who was a problem and mostly because of not being able to see anything in the mirrors. So far none of them are any good to me but I haven't tried Mark's yet. I've GOT to get that remedied so maybe his will do the trick. Not being able to discern anything out of them absolutely killed my race. Then, cars would get to me so fast after an incident (usually caused by trying to use the mirrors) it was very difficult to get righted and on the way again. I loved the track but decided it was best for all if I just went ahead and bailed.

Position through attrition!! That was one of the hardest races I have ever run. I was sore in the shoulders from tension. My setup was not the quickest ,but it was pretty stable and easy to drive without slapping the walls. Had only one lazy spin that didn't cost to much time. Notes: I'm running 1280 x 1024 on a21" viewsonic monitor in my plr file under graphics i have the following line Vertical FOV Angle="60" // 34=use default, otherwise is the FOV for attached cameras . I have included a screen shot of my cockpit view in the Porsche for those who have porsches and mirror problems Some other notes of interest try incresing the ride height if you car wanders. I say this because I have no problems with steering? the car is very stable. Look at your brake bias if your car is understeering in the corners while hard on the brakes. the fronts should just lock up a tic before the rears. You will have too experiment to see what works for you. Attachments:

What a crazy race. A spin on lap 1 put me in last place and I thought I was hosed. But like Dale said, position by attrition was the rule of the day. I made fewer mistakes, and I think that was more due to the car than my driving. The Chevy is a bit more maneuverable than the Jags and Porsches and at this track that was crucial.
That had to be one of the hardest races I have ever run. Totally exhausted by the end, but man I had a blast.
I'm finding that the Chevy motor is too quiet. During the race all the other cars drowned out the sound of my car. So I'm going to run the Chevy with Porsche sounds instead. It is noisier than the Chevy, and sounds awesome. Hopefully that will help.

I can take a look at the sound mix for that. I need to look at the Mazda as well as I think that one is too loud.
Side Note, if you get on the server and get a rfm mismatch don't worry. I am testing something and a new car and download will be out for a new driver along with the next two tracks.
