I want to apologize to Scott for bumping him on the warm up lap and ruining his race. I am very sorry.

Overall I had a very fun race, thanks everyone But my apologies to Harrison for that last corner incident ... I tried to dive thru the inside which was a mistake. Collected a few cars in the process

I watched the replay on that (several times)...I don't think I would point the blame specifically at either driver. Could you have backed off there...yes. Could he have not gone from 2 wheels in the dirt (after hopping across the inside dirt on corner entry) to trying to close the door on you...yes. With how fast you guys go through there, I would've been expecting the car to continue heading toward the dirt, not sticking and diving back inside (nevermind the reaction times). It happens. Racing incident from my view. If his car had been on the pavement the whole time, my view may have differed. The 2 green cars coming through right after did a hell of a job avoiding everything. Incredible. My race was far less exciting. My goal was to finish an try to not get in anyones way too badly. The fast peeps here are FAST. Managed the first (though I still managed a couple spectacular offs), and I think I managed the second...and managed to get a 55.6 somewhere along the way. Thanks for the race.

Sorry to miss the race, I was commited to a family requirement and unable to get back in time to race.
Sounds like it was an exciting event.

This track was a blast to drive. I have been having some trouble pushing too hard in previous races and using too little down force with too much boost. It is ok for Q but holding on for an hour it seems I always have an off that drops me back a couple places. I was still having trouble with consistency when I tried Ricks setup. It made the Jag handle like a slot car on brown glue. The down force cut top speed a couple mph 7 mph from Mark and Sandy who must have taken the wings off and waxed the cars. Mark was going by me like he had another gear but I had no off track expeditions and could turn low 52s with an occasional 51. Even with the boost turned off for the whole race it was a 2 stopper. The big cat is very thirsty. The traffic was very good about letting me by even though they had to slow on the straights to let me past. See you all next race.

Well, I finished where I started, as Scott stated the set was easy to drive here, maybe not the fastest, but was reliable. Yes, also a thank you for giving room to pass. Congrats to Mark on the Win. Cya on track..........

Echoing Scotts post, this track really was fun and rewarding to drive. If you got the esses and the final turn correct, you could really lay down a good lap time. I was running wing settings of 1/1, with a lot of wax and every seam taped up. Happy to finally run a race with out a major error after losing the race before due to a silly spin. Only blemish on the night was missing out to Sandy for the Pole. I thought my first lap was going to be enough, but Sandy dropped just below mine and I couldn't turn in a complete lap to snatch it back. Great lap Sandy! Overall happy to get the win and looking forward to the rest of the season.

Completely agree that this track was a great one to drive. Still not sure how I managed to steal pole away from Mark because I had absolutely nothing for him in the race but I'll take it. I had the downforce at 2/1 which was my first mistake. My second mistake was forgetting to save the minor setup tweaks I had made during practice. To be honest though, I'm not sure it would have mattered. Mark was just too dialed in. Great drive bud! Traffic was terrific, as usual. All in all a very clean race from my point of view. See you all at Monterey.

Wow where to start, Yes James you missed a good one. Glad everyone liked the track selection. Yes this version of RATL is a blast to drive and as Mark said, if you got the essess down you can haul the mail. But you get it wrong you are going for a ride..lol. Scott....The Jag handled like a slot car on brown glue...Ohh the memories. Group 27 and Opens with Glue.. ;D Sandy...Yeah I was going to ask after Q how you got the Intrepid to go that fast but in the draft you were no match for the Porsche and after that Mark drove the perfect race....Congrats Sir. For me after the practice I wasn't expecting much with the new car but during Q I found 2 seconds somewhere and now I was in the mix of 5 cars that Q'd at 52 so I was feeling pretty good. Made up a few spots in the first 2 laps and then the off. Reset Brain, can't get back to where I was and started to neverending fall through the ranks. But now where heading to my home turf...lol. California and Laguna Seca (pre Mazda) and Riverside (the Track Homes that never should have been built) and just wait for Sears...MUuuuhaaaahaaahaaaa

I'll take the 4th place and the points, even though I qualified with a personal best lap. Race pace was no match for the guys upfront. I should have took off more wing in the front after seeing what Mark was doing down the back straight! I almost lost 4th to Rick with a lazy spin at the back end coming out of the slow right hand . I'll chalk that up to not using traction control. Rick gave me a scare at the end of the race, I thought he might have pulled off the one stopper, till he had to pit for the second time on the same lap as i did. Fuel millage is a key to the pit strategy with these cars, which was the case for the real GTP class. I didn't plan mine out for this race as well as i should have and was fully loaded at the start. Traffic was good, although some of the spins put out so much smoke it was difficult to see where the spinning car was located. Good race overall and lots of fun to drive. The Mazda's seemed to find there pace finally which will make the competition even tighter for the next race.
