I'd like to shoot for the 12 Hours at Sebring. At least we can get some experience at how they run and since we will be in the league have a better shot at a grid start for Leman I'm not that concerned about limiting the amount of drivers in this race as far as gaining the experience. If there is more than enough for two teams then I'll try to field 2 teams in the event.
Check the Wosec website for more info in the other thread. The date is June 25th for sebring.
This will also give us time to decide on a car, paint, and practice the disco sequence

hmmm...I could possibly do it, it's on a saturday. I'd want to run a somewhat later stint as I'm on the west coast. 4:30 would be a bit too early for me. Earliest I'd be up is probably 7:30-8:00am-ish. Have always wanted to run a real endurance event.

Keep me in mind, too, Ced. I had a fairly good handle at Sebring in my other league.
If we get enough interest, maybe we could run one Sauber and one Jag!

I might be willing to run this too. Sounds like fun. I've run BullRun many times and it's always been a blast.

noob alert. what happens with setups? who`s do we use from the team? do we use the same car or each has different paint/number? is the race open or fixed setups?
also for ced, since most of you folks are faster then me i was thinking of putting a team together of guys that arent from this league, is that ok?

When I first joined I thought wow we all have to use the same setup that should be interesting. However, this is not the case. When a you get in the car, your setup is used...the setup does not transfer from one driver to the other...This can be useful during a race as well....I forget if I mentioned this before but at Suzuka my teamie lost 2 gear, so he relayed this message to me (via ventrilo) while he was on track. So he continued on with his stint and I opened up GTP offline, and went into my setup and adjusted the gear ratios to compensate for no 2nd. Then when it was my turn to get in the car, my setup was ready with the adjustments. "do we use the same car or each has different paint/number? " not sure what you mean by this. A car can consist of as many drivers as u want (minimum number of drivers is 2). And a team can have as many cars as you can fill (you must register all of the cars originally--not just reg 1 car and then show up with 3, so you're really registering the car number). For the 6 hour races most teams go with 2 drivers/car...there are 3 mandatory driver changes (do more if you wish)...so each driver gets 2 stints usually. Up to you how long your stints are...you could change driver every 5 laps if you want but you lose 2 laps with each disconect. If you have 2 cars on your team..they could be #98 and #99 so yes team cars do run separate numbers. I don't know yet about the mandatory # of driver changes for the 12 hours at Sebring. Hope that helps.

Hello gents..... Just letting you know that the WOSEC server is now running Sebring 24/7 (except Thursday nites when a GPL league runs on it) until race time later in June. So as soon as you have your drivers together and register your team(s) you will have access to that and also the ventrilo server will have a room set up for you I believe. SBRC2 managed a 4th place at the Spa night race on Saturday. We lost 3rd gear on lap 68 of 177....that really sucked. Would have easily had a podium, maybe the win, if that had not happened. But that's racin'. One thing about car choice...if you enter more than one car you may want to still stick with one model, that way a driver can move from one car to the other if needed. If you run a Sauber and a Jag for example, maybe everyone would have to practice both cars. But of course there's lots of time to do that with the race still weeks away. There are no Toyotas running and only 2-3 Mazdas, but one of the Mazdas has finished 2nd in each of the first 3 races.

Hey Charlie,
That's fine if you want to enter on your own. That's cool.
Brent, I thought that for the disco to work properly, everyone had to have the same car and player file. Maybe it's just more dependent on the player file.
That is real good info to know about the setup and being able to change it. I assume though that the setup name has to be the same for everyone.

That is real good info to know about the setup and being able to change it. I assume though that the setup name has to be the same for everyone. I may have confused you somewhat. If you are entering one car (#100) and have 3 drivers...then all of the drivers must have the same player & car files for #100. But if you are entering 2 cars #100 and #101 and have 6 drivers (3 per car) then the 3 guys driving the 100 car should also have the 101 files on hand (and vice versa) in case one of the 101 drivers cant make the event then a 100 driver can jump into the 101 (with the 101 files) to fill in. I guess my point was if you do run 2 or more cars and they are not the same model then it would be more difficult for a Sauber driver to jump into the Jag etc....as he may not have practiced with and have a setup for the Jag. The setup name does not matter so mine can called "sebring race" and yours could be "my setup".

All right, let's get a list of names going:
so far we've got:
Klaus Cedwig? Scott Przybylski Charlie Bonsall Rob Thaeler Sandy Robinson
with 5 people should we just do 1 team? I'm up from driving either Sauber or Jaguar, leaning towards Jag as my Sauber hasn't been very reliable lately...I can drive either at Sebring.
