Does the car name and the player name have to match? Just curious?

I will be out of town this Saturday. Are we driving the Ford for sure? I seem to be a lot faster in the Holden. I will drive either......I was curious if anyone else has noticed the difference.

I'll be able to show this Saturday. I've also noticed that I'm faster in the Holden than the Ford on other tracks, I haven't tried a Holden at Bullrun yet, will try tonight and see what happens.
BTW - I was on the Bullrun server last night using Rob's setup and was able to get 16 laps in before my front tires were toast, this also worked out to be when I was running out of gas as well. The first lap I ran hard and put in a high 1:42, then after that I slowed down and tried to run low 1:43's just to see how far I could go on a set of tires.

How did that set feel Dave? I didn't get a chance to talk to you when we finished up there. Since Harrison said he saw 37s on the race server, I think we got some work to do on it.

Rob, The setup felt nice and stable. I didn't find much difference in lap times when the wing was set to 19 or 15 though. I wouldn't worry about what kind of lap times other people are putting in, I think you just have to run consistant times and not beat on the car to much, after all it is a 1000 mile race. DaveS

I haven't heard from anyone on PORRS_A team as to which car we're going to run on Saturday? How's the Ford Performance CAT #6 car sound?
All in favour say okey-dokey ;D

Something else to test
Ok, folks...
As some of you know (or have surmised), there will be some early evening driving at The Bullrun. With a 5+ hour race starting at 12:30, we'll be getting pretty dark by race finish. Soooo...drivers NEED to test this out. Start your race time at 5:30, and then run laps. Go ahead and throw some AI in as well. Make sure that your video card AND monitor will handle the night driving...if you cannot race like this, you'll need to make sure that you race earlier in the afternoon, and let your drivers who can run at night go ahead and do so.
Cheers!
Jan
Also, Bob How about we go with the Fords Performance Blue Car, Ford Credit

Ford Credit huh? A bankers car...okey dokey.
Bob
EDIT: If anyone finds their 'puter can't handle the night time driving I can switch with them as my system has proven "capable" of that in other leagues (VOR) at other tracks though I have not tried it at the Bull Factor yet.

Just ran some off-line at night at Bull Factor and my frame rate is ok. Ran about 20 laps in about 35-40 minutes and my tires were starting to go away but still had a bunch of fuel, looks like for me I could lower my fuel and run 45 minutes or so between pit stops.

Sorry guys, but I'm not going to be able to make tomorrows Bullrun test race after all. Hopefully we can get some practice time in testing our driver swaps on the PORRS server next week.

OK... Bob, you still want to do a PORRS_A practice at the practice server this morning? If you can't make it, I'll probably get on myself just to get seat time.
If you do, I'll need the player file you've created. Ced, did you distribute that yet?

OK, it likes I may be questionable for today. Turned on my PC (Race Box) and it's having issues connecting to the internet and running smoothly. I think I have enough time to be ready for a second stint.
So I guess it is Rob, Bob, James and maybe me that will test. I will be checking my aol email shortly to see if Kevin responded.
Are we going to use Team speak or Ventrillo. I sent an email with the info Dave gave me yesterday for Team Speak. If that doesn't work I will fire up the PORRS Ventrillo Server.....does anyone remember the password....lol....maybe I'll just remove it.
Bob can you email me your PORRS_B directory.
Did everyone name their setup file.
How do you want to do this....Swap drivers every 10 laps for the practice...one driver will have a longer stint
Bob and Rob you start.
