Kevin,
I'll talk to Jan about giving you the track since there is a 75% chance you will be replacing James if his plans fall through

Note to All. The Bullrun race server is also up and running using the same PW you use for the track download.
Dave and I were there last night getting some laps in. Sandy Robinson and Barry Blakely were there at one point too. All four of us got into the hgih 42s, although for me running 42s is not a sustainable pace... yet. The tires seem to go away pretty quickly. Anyone else got practice times yet to report? I suspect we'll need to get down the the 40s or 39s to be competitive, but we still got sufficient time to work on this.
Dave and I are going to try to meet on the race server Wednesday evening to start evaluating communication software for the race. We're both leaning toward TeamSpeak. We'll likely be there (depending on my work schedule that night) somewhere between 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM Eastern.

I joined but can't find the track. Where is the track and password? Harison: If your looking for the PORRS server look for PORRS WORX, with no password. If your looking for the Bullrun1000 server go to the Bullrun1000 egroup and do a search on "server" or look for post #4045, the server name and password are in that post by Tim McArthur. Hope this helps ;D DaveS

I joined but can't find the track. Where is the track and password? I think Harrison is looking for the track download link, Dave. It came by email from the yahoo group, from Jan IIRC. I'll find it and forward to you Harrison. Rob Edit... it may be in the downloads section of the yahoo group also. I'll check and let you know regardless. Edit 2... email with download link and unzip password sent to you, Harrison. R

1) OK, so how many of us can be available for a test this Saturday in real race conditions.
2) We will need to pick a car to use and everyone have that car picked to practice the swaps.
3) Depending on who can make it. Please make a new player called either PORRS_BR06_A or PORRS_BR06_B so we get used to seeing it. Then do #2 depending on what we select.
4) Make sure you have read and edited your player file accordingly for the swap.
5) If all can make it we'll have Rob and Bob start the race. Then Dave and Harrison, then James and myself. Kevin I would like you to do a swap with James halfway through his stinit so you are familiar with it. We can test this on the PORRS server as well after this weekend. On our server we have the option of resetting the race as many times as we want. I got the settings from Tim so I will have that setup later. I should have Team Speak setup on either the main PORRS server or an alternate at home on my web servers. I'll know for sure tomorrow. I may not be home tonight in time to get it up for you guys.

Not to be a doofus about this but... I thinks we should shorten the team names... probably only PORRS A and PORRS B, or PORRS 000 and PORRS 001. I think having the BR06 part in the middle is unnecessary and may be distracting to other participants who might be running the "car driver tab" feature when driving to know who's around them. Of course, if you just want me to shaddap, please tell me to do so. I'll run whatever team name everybody is comfortable with. BTW, Jan is running a practice race on the BR server Saturday at 12:30 PM Eastern. We could practice our swaps there if we'd like... or if people want to do swap practice privately, we can do that too. Rob

I would have no problem naming the cars whatever is wanted but I would like an answer "soon" so I can post them at the BR Yahoo site. PORRS_000 and 001, PORRS_A and B, PORRS_ME_ANOTHER_DRINK and HOW'S_YER_DANG_DOG?...whatever ;D CEd, I would think the call is yours bud, let me know "soon" please.
